  2. I seem to have hit the famous 3 week stall at 19 days out. I haven't changed my diet or activity and have been at the same weight (or slightly higher) for 3 days. Sticking to my program and hoping to break free soon ....

Same here Andrew. We just have to go thru the process as our bodies adjust. I'm just going to keep following my plan. I know it won't last forever.

  3. hi all I was so nervous about going today to see my nut and psych and weigh in, but it all went real good nothing 257.0 from 264.4 I need to lose 4 more pounds to get a surgery date. thank you all for being so nice and answering my questions.

That's great news!! Way to go!!

  4. I don't see any reason to make fun of this person. People have to come to this in their own time. You have ALL been there... I know I have been, so, show some compassion. If she needs us for our experienced support, she is welcome here now or in the future.

Well said feedyoureye. The person who posted this is not trying look down on anyone who's had surgery. She stated that it's just not affordable for her at this time. I know I wouldn't be able to afford the surgery if my insurance didn't cover the majority of it. She came here looking for advice. If you don't have anything constructive it's not that hard to move on to the next post.

  5. I also had it but hey didn't find out until after I had surgery. When I went to my post op appt the doctor old me I tested positive and prescribed antibiotics. I don't know not it will affect your surgery since I had mine with it unknowingly. I think you should be fine though.

  6. Nancy just take each day at a time. Thank you for your honesty. Sounds like you are still pushing through and that's wonderful. Try going for walks or finding an activity to keep your mind off food. This isn't an easy journey but the results are well worth it. Keep posting and reading the post on here if it helps you get thru. We are all here because of similar struggles so we know what you are going thru and are willing to support you any way we can. #teamNancy

  7. I started the purée diet this week. I'm finding it hard to fit all my liquids in once I added real food. I'm full for like 3 hours and can't even begin to think about putting anything else in my stomach. I'm eating about 2-3oz per meal and have been eating 1-2 times per day. Maybe I just need to plan each meal better and or take eat less per meal so that I can get enough liquids. I just hoped to start getting my Protein from food sources and rely less on the shakes. Any suggestions would be helpful.

  8. So i have to be up in a few hours and i have ALL THE ENERGY IN THE WORLD.. Is that my nerves? or the excitement getting to me? anxiousness? or everything? I am going through it right now. I cant seem to contain myself , and i am wide awake right now. GUESS ILL BE UP UNTIL SURGERY TIME...

It's probably all of the above lol. Good luck with your surgery tomorrow!! Praying for a speedy recovery.

  9. Getting on rides with my sons is something I'm also looking forward to as well. I'm almost 2 weeks post op and yesterday I went to my son's school winter concert. The seats had always been a snug fit but yesterday I sat comfortably. I was amazed at the difference already. It's ok to be a but nervous but it sounds like you see the big picture. Good luck on your surgery, recovery and new journey.
