  1. Yes, please do. It is very helpful and thanks for doing that. I think you should let Alex know to put it up, newbies like myself find that very helpful. Also, congrats on 8yrs banded. I wish I did it yrs ago, but I got now. better late, then never.
  2. Hi Alex, I can't upload any pics. It stated by Monday Oct 28th, the system should be up, but error keeps showing up. When will we be able to upload pics? Thanks!
  3. NaNa, on my friends page was nice enough to post a article on the success of the band from the creator (surgeon) of the lap band. I thank you NaNa and of course everyone else for giving me hope and support with the band. Pre op or Post op. I feel like we're all family in distance, but close because we are sharing the same bond (Band). Anyway, the article is helpful, its given me a better understanding on the success of the band. Once you apply those tools...sky's the limit. Thanks everyone!!! Muah!!!
  4. NaNa....Woah! I read it...long but worth it. I understand Red, Green, and Yellow zone now. Plus, the eight rules make sense. Its all in what you eat. Band a tool, but its work. I love the article from the maker of the band. I see what makes it work and what wouldn't. Its all in the individual. Thanks!
  5. Aw ok, yeah, I'm a talk with my Doc on that. Good to know...thanks.
  6. What do people mean when they say their stuck? What is slippage? I'm somewhat aware, but I know it may be different for some people.
  7. Good luck on your sleep study in Jan. I'm going to get one hopefully soon. I hate those episodes. Thanks
  8. Aw ok, yeah I notice they have change the band since it came out. So, it may be put in different....not sure, but I hope in a great location. Thanks
  9. That's great! If wifey says, she doesn't then great, your good to go. Lol I pray your in the clear once you get checked out.
  10. Man I can't wait until I lose this weight for good once I'm banded. I have sleep apnea and I get up in the middle of the night in shock, heart rate pounding to where I feel like its not beating, then I go into panic because I get some sort of anxiety when it happens. Ugh!!! Anyone had sleep apnea with their weight at a high?
  11. Ok, I was told under rib is the very uncomfortable. Constant pain, near breast area was better. But, good you have little trouble with the port.
  12. You are very much welcome. Girl me too, I'm self paid and I'm working hard plus using my tax return to pay for this surgery. Hopefully I get it all by Feb. Well good luck with you! Can't wait to fit in a 8 dress. I'm at a 18 now....hate it. But, oh well a change gonna come.
  13. Okay, I haven't been banded yet, but I'm trying to get all the info I can before my surgery. Yes, I've ask my Dr. but I want to ask people too. Where is the best place the port should be? Because after a yr with my band, I plan on getting a TT and I don't want it sticking out.
  14. Congrats, on your surgery, and a safe speedy recovery. How was the experience? I'm getting mine done in Feb.
  15. MzEboni912, where will you have your surgery done? I'm in Florida, and hopefully if God permits I'll have mine in Feb 2014.
  16. Yes, I also believe this is a great thread. I do believe love can be found on LBT, if it can on FB, then without a doubt there's hope on LBT. Well I hope some guys do have the courage too. I'm hopeful!!
