If you have a hard time with meats and veggies, what are you eating? I know for me, it took 9 months to figure out that I was still eating too fast and not chewing enough. It's a hard lesson to learn after 60+ years of over indulgence. What's a typical daily meal plan for you? And how many calories? Exercise? What does the doctor and nutritionist say?

This morning I ate a protein bar for breakfast. Lunch was 2 turkey hotdogs (no bun), some cheese and about 1/4 cup of strawberries and blueberries mixed. For supper I am having some chicken salad (chicken with celery and mayo/sour cream mixture) and crackers. I don't think I ever come close to 1200 calories. I am wondering if I am not eating enough. It seems like my exercise has been limited. I walk as often as I can. I work 12hr shifts so try to fit some walking in after work. What are your thoughts? My doctor didn't act concerned that I gained a pound this last month. And he was alway happy when I lost the 2 lbs the past few months. I am just getting frustrated. I have been told that one of these times I am really going to start losing it fast. I'm still waiting.

I agree you should up your calorie consumption. But, get rid of the processed foods. No protein bars, eat eggs, ham, oatmeal. No turkey franks. Again, eat real food like fresh chicken, beef, fish, deli turkey, veggies. Too many people treat this like a diet. It's not. It's eating healthy and finding the right band adjustment that makes you feel satisfied for 4 hours without snacking.
