  1. Thanks Jackie! I will look for them at Target :w00t: Sometimes I have a bit of trouble with spicy foods, as when it sits in the pouch waiting to go down it burns but otherwise I love it. Mexican food is my fav, most of what I eat is "Mexicanized" in some sort of way (I add salsa to almost everything ) Today ~ Breakfast ~ Vanilla Peanut Butter Walnut Protein Shake Lunch ~ 1oz Foster Farms Buffalo Style Crispy Strip Snack ~ 5 Parmesan Garlic Triscuit Thin Crisps w/ 2 T Spicy Three Pepper Hummus Dinner ~ Michelina's Cheese Manicotti w/ Marinara Sauce Entree
  2. Couldn't find the cheese ... bummer  I did find hummus though! Bought the Athenos brand Spicy Three Pepper flavor and just had some on Triscuits ... yum! :crying: I was actually looking for a brand called "Tribe" because I found a couple coupons for it ... if any of you buy that brand and want these coupons, let me know and I'll snail mail em to ya
  3. HAPPY BANDIVERSARY Luluc! :crying: WELCOME Renewed!
  4. Lucky you to be getting a flat tummy soon! I don't foresee myself having any PS in the near future and will have to live with my "extras" for awhile. What bugs me the most are my "bat wings" ... ugh!

Thanks for the sweet comments though, this has been such an amazing journey ... going into it, although I had my hopes higher than I ever had with any diet, I guess a small part of me thought I might fail at this too. As weird as it sounds, when I look in the mirror I still see the fat girl and when I see pics of myself I can't help but stare and think "is that really me??" ... I guess my brain hasn't caught up with the new bod yet!

Anyhow, hope you are having a great weekend and I look forward to seeing your post-op new tummy pics!

  10. Hi sweetie! Congrats on your recent banding! Don't let the gaining back of 5 lbs get you down ... I remember right after surgery when I went from liquids to mushies my weightloss slowed down and I was EXTREMELY frustrated! Just remember that these first 6 weeks or so after banding is the time to heal, not so much lose. I know it's hard because once we make thie decision to have the surgery and then go through with it, we want the weight to fall off at rapid speeds (I know I did!) but just take it one day at a time. Of course you're feeling more hungry because you don't have good enough restriction yet ... you are in whats known as "Bandster Hell"! The only way to get through this period is simply to rely on your own will power until you get 2-3 fills and feel true restriction. Plan your meals out, track your daily intake (I use thedailyplate.com) and make sure to get all your water in too. I know it's rough right now, but hang in there and you will see results soon! Keep in touch =)

    Protein Supplements????????

Check out ~~> this thread <~~ for tons of protein shake recipes In addition to Unjury, there are also protein supplements (shakes) you can find at your local grocery store such as the Atkins brand and EAS brand. They come in packages of 4 cartons for about $7. I often use a carton of one of these when preparing a recipe in the above mentioned thread. My fav is mixing a carton of Vanilla w/ 2-3 T peanut butter and a packet or 2 of Splenda ... blend with ice and it makes a yummy peanut butter protein shake. :smile2:

  23. Parmesan Meatballs

    1.5 lbs Ground Beef

    3/4 C Shredded Parmesan Cheese

    2 Eggs

    1 tsp Dried Parsley

    Dash of Pepper

    2-3 T Butter

    15oz Can of Tomato Sauce

    1 Clove Garlic

    1/2 tsp Onion Powder

    1/4 tsp Basil

    1/8 tsp Oregano

Combine beef, cheese, eggs, parsley & pepper until well mixed then shape into meatballs. Melt butter in a large skillet and cook until all sides are browned. Place browned meatballs in the crock pot or a casserole dish suitable for the oven.

Combine the tomato sauce, garlic, onion powder, basil & oregano. Pour over the meatballs, stirring gently to coat.

Turn crock pot on low for 1-4 hours OR bake, uncovered in an oven at 350 for 30-40 minutes.

**I make them in the crock pot and although the recipe says 1-4 hours, I let them cook on low for 6-7 hours ... they turn out really tender and oh so yummy!**

  24. Oohhh thanks for finding it Froggi! I am drooling just reading it  ... already picked one to make for Breakfast tomorrow
