  9. I don't have any close family (and no family on the island). Being in the hospital alone is no biggie because you are well-taken care of. Being home alone was a scary thought, but it was fine. I was even able to take care of my two kitties. Good luck and God Bless!
  10. Im a former diet coke addict, and i remember my NUT telling us there was one lightly carbonated drink we could have. I couldnt remember what it was called so i emailed her. Her response.."get off the coke and try ICE!" Cracked me up...ICE ia lightly carbonated fruit drinks. Sams club carries them, and its a nice treat now and then. Still miss my diet coke 7 months post op:-(
  11. Yes, most of us feel like we are not losing enough, bur you are doing great!
  12. I took a week and a half off, but could have gone back in a week. I agree, it's better to ask for too much than too little.
  13. Congratulations! Now we have to make sure we stay here!
  14. I agree, best to check with ur nut. That being said, i am 6 months out and was told 1200 caloriea per day. Sadly, i usually go over:-(
  15. I'm six months post op, and i started losing hair three months ago. To me , it seems like a lot. Some people notice, some dont. I've been taking biotin since before my surgery and using nioxin products. Nothing seems to help, but maybe it would be worse if i didnt? Doc said it should stop soon. I hope so!
  16. Congratulations! Sounds like ur doing great, enjoy!
  17. Welcome maineman! Sounds like ur doing great so far. Congrats and good luck on ur journey!
  18. Thanks so much for sharing ur story! Im only 6 months post op, but struggle with grazing as well. I was complaining about it to a friend, and she said "just stop it!" Easier said than done, but it made me laugh! Good luck!

  21. Hi kahuna! Im guessing ur from hawaii? If so, who is ur surgeon? I had rny done at castle six months ago. I originally wanted the lapband because rny seemed too drastic. Finally decided on rny and was off work for 10 days. Could have easily gone back in a week or less. Good luck!
