  1. I really like the GNC go lean shakes and have no problem with them. The pumpkin spice should be coming out soon and is sooooo good!
  2. I had to wait til 4 days post op. It felt fabulous!
  3. I agree with Ashlee! Whatever surgery you choose, you will make it the right decision for you. Btw, I had RNY and can eat all sweets with no problem. Kind of a mixed blessing....
  4. How are you doing? Welcome to the losers bench!
  5. How are you doing? Welcome to the losers bench!
  6. Hope your surgery went well, Betsey!
  7. Don't be too hard on yourself. A lot of us have done the same thing!
  8. Great job! Welcome back! Ive fallen off the wagon and havent lost in months:-(
  9. Yes, we need more dudes (although i am female). Good luck and God bless! Look forward to hearing about ur journey...
  10. Good luck! Please keep us posted! I feel no restriction after my bypass 8 months ago and pretty much got the blow off from my surgeon....
  11. I went on a cruise 8 months after surgery and had no problems at all. I did my best, but was far from perfect. Two things that will be in your favor...1) shore tours will keep you on the go all day long. Take the longest, most active ones you can. 2) it's so easy to go to the gym when it's just a few floors away. No excuses! We also zumba'd (too embarassed to do that at home), line danced, and even did a "walk for the cure". I definitely overate, but didnt gain an ounce thanks to being as active as possible. Enjoy!
  12. Im so sorry for all you have been thru, Helena! Thanks for taking the time to share you're story. Sounds like you're a strong lady who is up for this challenge. Good luck and God bless!
  13. I, too, was worried about malabsorption until my NUT told me i would have to take 3 vitamins a day with the sleeve and 4 vitamins a day with RNY. Not much of a difference. I dont dump, and thats a mixed blessing.
  14. Congrats! I was thrilled to shop at H&M for the first time!
  15. I was SET on the sleeve until my NUT talked me into RNY. I was worried about malabsorption, but with the RNY i have to take 4 vitamins a day. With the sleeve, its 3. Not a huge difference. I dont dump and can eat any amount of anything. Because of this, im stuck at having lost 70 percent of my excess weight. Even though i haven't reached my goal and may not, im still glad i did it and would do it again!
  16. Congrats ladies! Welcome to the losers bench, ur gonna love it here!
  17. I'm so sorry for all you have been through, Bridgette! So happy you were able to connect with Dr. Now, though! Excited for you! This is such a long process, and I'm sorry its even longer for you, so frustrating! Good luck on this new phase of your journey! Please keep us posted!
  18. Premier protein from sam's will give you the most protein for the lowest price as far as ready-made shakes go. If ur looking for powders, unjury is really good (and good for u). A lot of the gnc powders/ready-made shakes are yummy. I like the pumpkin spice (limited to holiday season), cinnamon bun, and banana.
  19. I did it alone, no prob. Nurses took good care of me. Mostly slept. Had a friend call and check on me my first nite home, but all was well. Just a little lonely.. .
  20. Congrats and good luck!
