Feeling lost about which surgery to choose!

I am a revision patient (currently have a slipped lap band) and am having a really hard time deciding if I want a sleeve or RNY. After my EGD my surgeon pretty much told me it was up to me. I really was leaning toward the RNY but I just cannot wrap my head around the fact that I may never eat a piece of birthday cake or have a bowl of ice cream after surgery. Am I crazy? I have about 60 lbs to lose and a small touch of GERD so I think I could do the sleeve but I don't want to fail and have to have another surgery.

Did anyone feel this way when trying to make a decision?

Thanks

Yes! Here's why I chose RNY! No matter what you choose, I applaud you for getting healthy!

I agree with Ashlee! Whatever surgery you choose, you will make it the right decision for you. Btw, I had RNY and can eat all sweets with no problem. Kind of a mixed blessing....

Noooooo!!! I don't want to be able to eat sweets! Lol. :)

I'm learning everyday that there is so much more to life than planning my next meal.
