@@laurenella82, Girl, don't even get me started. I'm crazy. I sing with a group and this is "hell week." Dry tech, tech, dress, show #1 (Thursday night), show #2 (Friday night), show #3 (sat matinee), show #4 (sat night), show #5 (sun matinee) and cast party. I'm gonna be crawling and I do mean crawling into work on Monday. I'm not work tomorrow and I might take Monday off to rest. See? I'm crazy. My surgery date was moved so I didn't have much choice about how things was landing. I'm glad I got surgery over and done with and had some rest just need more.....

@@laurenella82, Hey There! I'm doing great! I'm back at work, part time this week. Not as bad as I anticipated. I have a sedentary job so I'm lucky there! I have shows all this week and weekend. I will catch up on rest after all this blows over!

    January RNY Surgery

thin-for-kidney, glad you made it through. It week get easier and easier. I was in pain because I couldn't stay awake enough to press the PCA!!!
  7. You're posting in sleeve forum, so you'll hear pro sleeve arguments. You're young? Not that overweight, you should be fine achieving your goals with the sleeve especially if comorbidities aren't an issue for you....

    Super Bowl FAIL

I'm pretty fresh out the gate, so it was easy for me. I brought something I could eat. Drank water for the first half hour, I then made a plate and say down way faraway from the food and did not get up until the game was over. I think you gotta go in with a plan. Something. Like the teams you know.

    new beginning

Hey. Welcome! I'd day get on the habit of logging your food everyday. And walk as much as you are able....
  10. Hmmmm.....I'd definitely like the LB grey sweater textured that listed as first sweater in post and the 18 stretch fit jeans Brand NY. She can have everything else. I don't know what the precedent is on this, first come or what.
  11. I'll take them all! But if the other lady wants the shirt, that's cool. Get me a good shipping price through ups or book rate and I'll figure out paypal. I've never sent money but it can't be that hard. PM me the info I'll need to send it to you. Yay! :-) so awesome I'll be sure to pass along to a local member of the shrink club.

    January 15th, 2015 Anyone?

@@downsizingdiva, Team 15, is doing great. First post-op on Monday. I think I'm down 13# but 21 since I decided to really go through with the surgery. I'm sporadically taking my BP meds, I can tell I don't need them. I'm tolerating all foods well except real spicy stuff and raw onions. I'm great at getting the protein in, but water and hydration is a challenge. I'm so focused on the protein because I've decided I'm not taking biotin and I want to keep my hair!! It's pretty. Lol I'm working on my exercise regime. Walking on the treadmill is great but I wanted get outside too Seattle and is about to get REAL wet. I found a Zumba class and a water HIIT class if you can believe it! Ppl are talking about forever diets. I'm tryna find my forever exercise program!!

    January 15th, 2015 Anyone?

dar81, my date got date got moved back and forth 3 times. I just kept telling myself that it was the universe lining up my dream team. The right surgeon, nurses, anesthesia folks, surgery techs, check-in girls!!! Everybody who was meant to be there and work with me, my dream team all needed to be in place, not sick, back from vacation, well rested, in a good mood, on point etc etc etc 'Dream Team 15!!' It will happen for you! Your dream team is being assembled as we speak!
  14. I'm in Seattle. Pacific Standard Time, baby! Go Hawks! :-)
  15. I'd definitely be interested. If you could take them to be priced at ups, slowest rate or usps book rate. I could paypal or send a check. Then you could send out however ppl work this. Thanks!
  16. Can you bring something you are allowed? I know for me I could have two shakes and moderate dinner. I switched my meal to lunch on a game day and had a shake for dinner. But kickoff is at 3. Go Hawks! :-)
  17. Look at it like this. Your pre-op diet would so much easier if you already had the surgery. Right? I goofed a little on my 3 week pre-op diet. The purpose is to shrink your liver a little so they can easily get at the stomach. Also, to calm the inflammation that comes with poor eating choices and drinking. Hang in there. Help is on the way. And if you goof, get right back on track immediately. You can do this!

    Tri-cities, Washington?

Not in your area. I'm in Seattle. Just saying hi! :-)
  19. Good. It should go away. Mine did after a week or so. Take your time with the sips and gulps. It can be unnerving.
  20. Yes. Were you given omeprazole? It does go away
  21. Dumping is not guaranteed. So maybe not the best ideas to make a decision on that. You posted on the bypass thread so you'll get a lot of pro bypass perspectives, too. I decided bypass because I wanted the greatest chance of my co morbidities being completely resolved. I wanted long term data. I've been on this site a while and I can't figure out if sleeves are just being offered more lately and there by we are hearing more about folks not being able to eat being 6 wks, 6 months out and other stuff or if sleeves are more vocal about it. Can't tell. I'm two weeks out and can tolerate everything I tried with no problems, nausea, vomiting. I know when I'm am eating too fast but I think that would be the same for everyone at this point. You need to make this decision with your surgeon. I think most people go with their guts and at their fear edge. Some people are gonna be creeped out by the re routing, I was afraid of the long line of stitching with the sleeve or developing any sort of reflux, heartburn etc. Also, what sealed the deal for me and you might ask your surgeon. How many of each procedures has he/she done? Which one has he/she done the most revisions or fixed complications with? And how comfortable with it are they? If his or her child needed bariatric surgery which would they recommend? Honestly, you are young and healthy and would probably do well with a uncomplicated sleeve or bypass process, but you may not need all the bypass has to offer.

    Any Washington State Sleevers?

Hello Everyone!! I wanted to let you all know about our upcoming meeting next Sunday 2/8 at 3 pm at the Lyons Den Cafe at 10415 Beardslee Blvd in Bothell. Please spread the word with friends that would be interested in joining us. There is a several year old thread about people wanting a meeting in this area and it's finally happening along with some groups in different locations!! Exciting times. I'm taking the liberty to create a theme for the meeting: Protein, protein, protein!! Bring in 1 serving of your favorite protein powders in labeled plastic baggies. We can swap and try products we've not tried before. If you prefer ready-go-to drinks or bars bring a chilled sample and we'll have a few cups on hand. We will have a room reserved and everyone should be prepared to make a purchase from the cafe. Also, come with ideas about future meet-up ideas. Let me know if you have questions or concerns. Thanks and see you all there! Michelle and Kay (co-hosts) Go Hawks!
