    @JaimeLogical, what is the substance being used in breast implants these days? Just curious? My breasts came in sagging DDs at 9 years old! I'm definitely perking the girls up at the end of this!
  2. I know I know. I will keep walking. I'm trying to walk to things that I wouldn't ordinarily walk to. Like I'm walking to get a pedicure after work. And I have a treadmill and music. So no excuses there. LOL I'm just ready for something to switch it up with. But I will trust my surgeon. She has a good track record with her patients and complications. So maybe she knows what she's talking about. ha! What I really want to work toward is a team recreaction sport like soccer. I just want exercise that looks and feels like a real departure from exercise right now. Just me.

    Homemade Pureed Food

    I did a baked low fat ricotta bake. You can get recipe from the blog the world according to eggface. I topped it with pesto and parmesan. I did a corn and shrimp chowder. Egg drop soup. Split pea soup. I prefered not to purree meats because it just reminded me of cat or dog food. Everything I ate was light in color.....

  5. I would run to have it. Co morbidities resolving. I'm almost a month out and ice noticed I'm a little tired, but somehow I'm not craving simple sugars and carbohydrates to boost my serotonin levels. My body is just dealing with and managing with out food. Unbelievable!

    How far out are you? How much are you drinking? If food is making you sick still, you could have a conversation with your doctor or back up to previous phases, like softer foods or shakes. There used to be a saying in the South: Don't start none won't be none. Meaning if you can employ a little more honesty and diligence you could nip this before it's a problem. Check out an AA meeting just to see if anything resonates. Can't hurt.

    Trader Joe's shopping list?

    They have good hummus and ricotta cheese. They have plain kefir that you could miss with sugar free syrup. I love traders but I found the regular stores more helpful with these phases. I would grab some almond meal and Google a recipe for cauliflower almond meal pizza crust for later.....

    Love love love this. New beginnings are great, but I can't move forward truly unless I embrace that wonderful "me" that got me here! Truly a transformation. Congratulations!
  10. Did you mean local FB = Facebook or local BP = Bariatric Pal???? There are resources for folks wanted to plan BP meet-up/support groups. Go to the local chapter forums. There are flyers, ideas to consider etc etc etc Good Luck. I did it. Its fun getting to know folks....

  12. Just hit my 3 week stall - like the scale did not budge the whole week. Because of this site, I'm not even trippin' If I haven't said it before, thanks!!! Luckily, I'm only weighing in on Thursdays. This too shall pass as they say....

    I had to drink cherry flavored magnesium citrate. Two week pre-op diet, 2 shakes a day with a sensible dinner, lean protein, vegetables, salad, low-fat dressing etc etc. I could have sf desserts, jello, pudding, popsicles

    Like clock work....

    Yay! anaxila! I had been weighing on Thursdays. I jumped on just to see if it had moved past the stall. Down 2.5lbs. So I'll go back to my once a week till maintenance. Then I'll be everyday. Maybe. Can't decide. I've got a long while to decide. Lol

    Plateau already?!

    Three week stall? Search the forum it's all around here. Body is in shock and trying regroup. Did not loose a pound on 3rd week postop. Staying off the scale helps if you can. Easier said than done. I'm exactly where you are. I'm 14 down. You will break through! :-)

    Am I going crazy?

    I think I was scared until I was knocked out, but there were other emotions too. Confident that I was being taken care of, confident in my body's natural ability to heal and do what it needed to do, confident in my surgical team and family support. Some how the confidence outweighed the fear and I moved forward. I'm 3 weeks out and and still don't believe I did it! You'll do great.

    I was too nervous too cheat. Definitely don't eat anything solild after 2pm or after bowel prep. They want the poop cleaned out as much as possible, not colonoscopy clean but fairly clean. Eating solids after midnight could cause asphyxiation and serious problems. If the surgical team finds out that you ate, you would be cancelled. Clear liquid protocol: Clear sugar free popsicles not pudding pops coffee and tea with no cream or sugar chicken or beef broth Gatorade Vitamin Water Apple juice Sprite, Seven up I think that was all I was allowed

    It's hard sometimes but I'm focusing on my clothes fitting nicer. The slight thinning if my face. If I weighed everyday, I'd be fit to be tied! That's an Southern expression for going crazy! :-)
