I like the new site for 1 reason, I spent almost a year on VST before becoming a traitor and getting RNY lol now I dont have to flip back and forth to keep up on everything lol not that I have made a lot of friends but I do enjoy the personalities on the sleeve forum O btw the band has never ever been a thought for me
  2. I didnt want to deal with crushing so I was told by my doctor I could use sf liquid acetaminophen...most of the hospital pharmacy should carry it, pretty cheap..its also sold on Amazon ...good luck
  3. You will find a way if you want your surgery bad enough lol not saying it will be easy first 2 to 3 days suck but keep your eye on the prize!
  4. Sf hot chocolate with unflavored protein is very yummy on these chilly nights...also if you get headaches your first few days sip on some 99% fat free chicken broth, the little extra salt helps with those and it counts toward your liquid goal.
  5. Thats awesome news! You will do fine:)
  6. Glad to hear you are feeling better, you said you have GNC close did you try their Total Lean Shakes? I get the premade ones they are not overly sweet..also if you have unflavored protein (
  7. Unjury has chicken soup and also a good unflavored along with a lot of recipes....I am 2 weeks out...my saving grace has been sf hot chocolate with unflavored protein so good! Good luck!

  9. I had my first one although very small on day 3 right on schedule with what doctor told me and have had one every morning since, I am 1 week out today. Doctor told me to take miralax if needed because it has stool softener you dont want to have to strain or push. Thankfully nature did its job but I have some handy just incase
  10. I am 1 week post op but my diet is still the same as pre op right now I am really digging on sf hot chocolate with a scoop of unjury unflavored...its been my dinner for the past 4 nights lol
  11. Logging is very important and so much easier these days with smart phones and great apps..I remember having to go thru books and write everything down lol As far as your insurance I guess that depends on their guidelines, my program was 6 months and I was required to lose 10% which was 30lbs I only manage to do 23 but I think they go by the review from the doctor, NUT and Psych which if you get greens from them than they know you have been working the program whether the scale shows it or not....good luck!
  12. I want to try these so bad, im gonna have to order off line because I have search every store in 2 towns near me lol
  13. Check out some sites like world according to eggface or Bariatric Foodie, they have a lot of yummy protein snack recipes maybe you can find one that you could use as a movie treat

Congrats on taking the first step...if you have done any research at all than you probably know everything you will go over lol ive been to a couple and they basically explain the types of surgery's they do RNY sleeve, band...the pros and cons, risk and touch on how your lifestyle after will be. 17. I haven't weighed myself yet waiting for doctor appt on the 8th. Im doing about 400 calories and 70 grams of protein between shakes and unjury chicken soup and about 5 to 6 cups of water...my day is spent sipping lol pain is not to bad other than the gas but that was a bit better today. Im throat is sore from the tube im thinking I may have gotten a small cut so been gargling with warm salt water. Over all good exp and ready to move forward!!
  18. Glad to hear your doing good! I got home thursday also, everyday is getting better!
  19. Wow sorry to hear you are having such a hard time, my surgery was the day before yours. I spent one night but they would not let me home until I could drink and keep down 8 oz of water and 8 oz of protein. I was on a strict schedule of sf liquid tylenol and oxycodone. Although still very sore and still sleeping propped up my pain has not been above a 4 since leaving and im getting my protein and water in....so no what you are going thru does not sound normal and you need to call your surgeons office thats what they are their for and you are still in the critical stage.
  20. Im home now only 1 day in which was fine with me lol im doing good very achey almost like ive done a whole bunch of sit ups. I did 35 gr of protein and 5 cups of water. Sleeping in the recliner tonight, to hard to get up from laying position and between sipping, peeing and the need to get up and move very hour just easier. Up all went well and I feel pretty good.
  21. Not sure what plan your doctor has you doing but my diet for pre op is 3 Protein shakes, sf pudding, greek yogurt, cream of chicken Soup..im 12 days in 2 more to go and this is working well ...good luck
