Ok...sounds great!!!!!!!

The first two days I regretted everything. It sucked bad. But came home on fri...had shower today. That felt good. I'm on full liquids for 2weeks. It may sound weird but I'm not hungry and I can't really tell if I'm full. So I just stop after 4-5 bites and wait till later to finish.

How is everything going??? Feeling better?

Sorry for the late post....still learning lol. I'm 8 days post op now and doing wonderful. The worse day was the second day but other than that I'm doing fantastic and loving this decision .

Ok in 2 days on all liquids and I'm down 4 lbs. We will see what my arch Nemesis the scale says tomorrow morning.

Great!!!!!!! I'm glad the scale is moving in the right direction it feels good!!!!!! I'm down 3.4 pounds as of yesterday morning!!!! Just a few more days and it's show time!!!!! Can't wait

Going great....i am determined as well. I'm enjoying starting my new life!!!!!

It's Day 11 on the liquid diet for me. It's not been bad at all. On Saturday nights' date=' my family traditionally goes out to eat. Last Saturday, we did Chinese because my husband was performing a Lion Dance with his Kung Fu studio at the restaurant. I had my SlimFast and wonton broth. I wasn't bothered at all by all the food others were eating. Tonight the plan is Vietnamese so I'll have pho broth. I'm the cook in the family, too. It's been a little weird not to taste for seasoning adjustments, but I've been sticking to tried and true recipes and no one has complained. :-) Molly [/quote']

I love your last supper! Mine is going to be a Fried Seafood Platter with extra Fried Stuffed Shrimp!!

I read somewhere ( book, class materials or online) that seafood is one of the best choices when dining out post op.

I made a list of all the things I hated about obesity and what I had to look forward to in my future...like knee replacements and mobility issues. And I'd read it when I freaked out.

I will try that. The benefits of this surgery are endless. I can't wait!

October 2nd....6 days!!!!!!!

Oct 2nd for me, too! I've been preparing since Jan. So excited, but now only a week away I've been too busy trying to get all my ducks in a row at work and at home.

I am so happy that there are others embarking this journey on the 2nd with me! I ran around throughout this entire month trying to get everything right so now I am just cruising. I am just really anxious, nervous, excited, and scared at the same time

I too am Oct 2nd...a little anxious...have you begun your liquid diet? I start mine on thurs. I know that this is a forever lifestyle change, but I am willing to make that promise to myself, use this tool I've been given, and get healthy. As for relaxing, I read. I read as much as I can. Wanna be surgery buddies? keep each other motivated, and have an outlet for problems etc? I think it would alleviate some of my anxiety to have a fellow wls person taking the same trip as me beginning on the same day.

I dont know why i am so nervous. I have the lap band in October 2011 and removed because of a slip in June 2013. I am so excited...my surgery day is October 2, 2013! huuuh im so nervous

I have done my EKG, Chest Xray, Ultrasound, and Bloodwork.

I have my sleep apnea test which is tomorrow, my physical exam monday, and my psych eval wednesday. The type and screen will be held a few days before my surgery date which is Oct 2. BTW, I had the lap band and had it removed. Now RNY!!!!!!!!

I have my surgery on September 30, 2013. I had my slipped lap band removed June 2013. I am soooooo excited!
