  1. I just ran my second 5K race this past weekend. I finished 3rd in my age division, and beat my old time by 4 minutes. I have only been running for two months. I don't know if it gets easier, but I love the fact that is pushes my body and my mind to places I didn't think were possible. If I can stay healthy I suspect I will be logging some serious miles this spring. Good luck with your training!!!

  2. The first four questions you asked are answered by looking at my profile.

how fast have you lost your weight? I have averaged 4.5 pounds a week.

I would not be comfortable being seen without a t-shirt on.

I do not have a lot of loose skin. I do have those flabby bat wings.

  3. I understand why you have that fear, it doesn't take much to get off track. I currently don't have that fear. I had to take two week long breaks from the gym, both medically related. Both times I picked up right were I left off. During those breaks I scaled back what I ate. Today is a planned day off. Tomorrow I have a 5K race. I tend to listen to my body and take a day or two off when it tells me to.

  4. I made the same mistake. I tried some baked salmon way to soon after my nut cleared me. That was a few months ago. Now, the only time I try a new food is on the weekend, and even then I try one ounce, and wait 1 hour to see if I can tolerate it.
