    pre op diet and gas?

I did for a few weeks post-op. I ate gas-x chewables like my life depended on it. It eventualy passed. (No pun intended)
  2. I make an avocado dip every once in a while. I only eat a 2oz serving at a time along with a 1oz serving of chips.
  3. I make a chia seed drink. 1/2 gallon of water and 4 tablespoons of chia seeds. I flavor the water with fresh squeezed lemon or lime juice, and 2 tablespoons of Agave nectar. Delicious!!
  4. Hang in there!!!! 5 days is not a stall, so don't get hung up on that. Be patient. Hold the vision and trust the process. Best wishes!

    Cereal

I started eating 1 oz of dry cereal around the 12 week post-op mark. As of now, I can eat 1 oz of cereal with about 4 oz of milk. I love starting my day off this way.

    How they lure us...

This book really opened my eyes to the food industry. Salt Sugar Fat: How the Food Giants Hooked Us by Michael Moss (Feb 28, 2013) Great topic!

i started eating them 4 months post-op. They are my number one go to when I have to eat out with friends or family.
  14. A huge thank you to all the vets. I have learned so much from you!!!
  15. I just had my nine month post-op follow up and my doctor and my NUT are a little concerned about me. They both feel I have lost enough weight. I told them I have not. I have had family members, co-workers, and friends ask me how much more I plan on loosing. I tell them I have no idea but ten more pounds would be awesome. They all look at me like I am crazy. I probably am, but I am having so much fun that I don't really care what anyone thinks. I am in uncharted waters and until the boat starts to sink, I am going to keep sailing. Awesome topic!!!

    Weight loss on pre-op diet

I only lost 5 pounds. I don't think my pre-op diet was as restrictive as it should have been. I only had to do a 5 day full liquid diet.

    Exercise

I had to wait 10 weeks before I could lift weights, swim, and (at the time) try running. I walked as much as I could during those ten weeks. I also did light stretching and I played Wii Sports.
  20. Alright!!! Are there any support groups in your area? I have been told by others on this site that it is a great way to stay motivated.

Does Vegetable Broth count as a clear liquid?

    I am sure it does.
  22. And that doesn't motivate you?
  23. I have throughly enjoyed becoming "skinny." People look at me like I am nuts when I tell them I want to loose more. I just smile at them and walk away.
