    My two favorites are: Jay Robb chocolate whey protein powder and Nature's Best Isopure. I agree with Cheryl, your tastes will probably change after surgery.

    Tanya, If you aren't prepared for the lifestyle change that is required to be sucessful after surgery, then perhaps you aren't ready for the surgery.

    My remedy is simple. I grab a 24oz bottle of water and slowly drink it. Then I tell my pouch to shut the $#@% up!!

    Frustrated and depressed

    My insurance didn't cover the $150 a day it costs for me to be in a room, luckily I was only there a day and a half. They didn't charge me for the half day.

    Does running get easier?

    I just ran my second 5K race this past weekend. I finished 3rd in my age division, and beat my old time by 4 minutes. I have only been running for two months. I don't know if it gets easier, but I love the fact that is pushes my body and my mind to places I didn't think were possible. If I can stay healthy I suspect I will be logging some serious miles this spring. Good luck with your training!!!

    loose skin

    The first four questions you asked are answered by looking at my profile. how fast have you lost your weight? I have averaged 4.5 pounds a week. I would not be comfortable being seen without a t-shirt on. I do not have a lot of loose skin. I do have those flabby bat wings.

    Fear of OFF DAYS

    I understand why you have that fear, it doesn't take much to get off track. I currently don't have that fear. I had to take two week long breaks from the gym, both medically related. Both times I picked up right were I left off. During those breaks I scaled back what I ate. Today is a planned day off. Tomorrow I have a 5K race. I tend to listen to my body and take a day or two off when it tells me to.

    sugar free jell-o, sugar free popsicles, Unjury chicken flavored broth, Body Fortress chocolate protien powder, sugar free pudding, tons of water lightly flavored with MIO, and greek yogurt.

    Food Fail

    I made the same mistake. I tried some baked salmon way to soon after my nut cleared me. That was a few months ago. Now, the only time I try a new food is on the weekend, and even then I try one ounce, and wait 1 hour to see if I can tolerate it.

    Favorite Foods Post Op

    I have been eating a lot of green olives, shrimp, and sugar free jell-o. I am not a big fan of eggs anymore. I can't really say that my tastebuds have changed that much. I have had no trouble eating "clean" and I haven't missed any of my old comfort foods. One day down the road, probably after one full year, I will try lean cuts of meat and pork.

  23. I only had to do a two week reduced calorie diet. I lost 6 pounds during those two weeks. Best Wishes!!
