  1. My sleeping pills-Ambien- wears out very fast, initially it kicks me out quickly, but only for about 4 hours... Sometimes I take another dose mid night and have another 4 h of sleep, but this doesn't solve the problem, because I can only refill 30 every month and I will end up being short... I am also on 10 mg, which is I believe max. I will talk to my doc, I guess

Yoplait greek VS Chobani Greek Yorgurt

Chobani Greek has on average 12-14g of protein, yoplait light only has 5 and more sugars. I am not sure about yoplait 2x protein though.. I am guessing 10g of protein? I love Chobani, but Yoplait has more interesting flavors, so I guess whatever works for you
  3. you talking about Ambien or Lunesta?

I'd be very curious if this worked for you. i thought about it pre surgery, even considered buying this fancy ninja blender with single serve cup, but then I figured it is not worth $160. On the other hand, if green smoothie per day increases fiber intake significantly, I'll consider it

My fiber intake is just a tiny percentile of what is recommended on MFP. Do you know if I should be modifying my goals? I am guessing it is pretty common for RNY folks to be under the fiber goal,at least for first few months... Am I correct?

    stopped loosing already!

I agree with soccermomma, I hit a stall as well and was stuck on one number for close to 2 weeks, starting at 2 weeks post op. I was frustrated and upset as well, but I kept telling myself that it is normal and this too shall pass... And it did, but I stalled for the longest 2 weeks of my life. It is starting to move down slowly again. My advice is to be patient and keep doing what you do. It will start moving again.

  15. Some people here are facing the same problem and they recommend rebooting the pouch. I guess it means liquid diet for couple days all over again but you could google restarting the pouch diet for more info... Or search this in the forum...
  16. There is orange juice in SAMs club that has 50 % the calories of regular one and only 6 g of sugar. I forgot how its called though.
  17. Agree with Music, all doctors have their own plans you should follow... I am guessing the reason why they don't want you to have smoothies is that they will fill you up quickly and usually are high in sugar. Decaf teas are ok with my doctor and I can drink decaf coffee too. When we go out and I don't have my water on hand, I go for unsweetened ice tea and have packet of truvia always in my purse. I like Zero Water, especially pear flavor.

    First stages

It is actually good that you have 6 months of supervised diet, this is an awesome opportunity to learn dos and don'ts and people who go through this have better chance of success in a long run. Use this time too understand what is going to happen and how it will affect your life. I was also upset that my insurance required it, but now, being postop I understand the advantage I was offered. Good luck!!!
  19. I had to wait 10 days with the same insurance that approved others in hours have some patience and do something to stop thinking about it too much good luck, you'll be on the losers bench before you know it
  20. Glad you decided to do it! Wishing you best of luck for the rest of the journey!

I am on plateau for a week and a half... I lost some weight during first week after the surgery and then boom, nothing. I stall around 264-265 for what seem to be an eternity...I log my food, average around 500 kcal, take my protein and water... Ugh, I am frustrated...
