  1. These are pictures I took at work today. Everyone at work telling me how young I look' date=' it feels great to be 43 years old, Blood Pressure normal, no more GERD, no sleep Apna, Acid Reflux, no ashma...Thank you Jesus. This picture was taken today...65 more lbs to go to reach my goal. This pic was taken before surgery.[/quote']

You look fantastic there is no way you are 43.

  2. You guys will find someone. My advice is be open to someone who you might not consider your type, and don't settle just because you want a relationship you're worth more than just settling.

  3. I'm one of the singles too. My now ex fiancé broke it off in March' date=' exactly 6 months before the day we were to get married. Nice huh? Said he felt pushed into our engagement...but I don't recall holding a gun to his head and making him buy the ring. We were together 4 years, engaged and living together for 2. He was completely not supportive about my RNY anyway. Was afraid I'd get hot and leave him. Ridiculous.[/quote']

Sounds like you are better off.

  4. Just went to get my drain checked and they removed it. The doctor feels nearly 100% confident that the infection is gone! I have 2 more days of antibiotics' date=' and hopefully that'll be the end of the infected hematoma at the old site of my gallbladder.

I am also down 31.5 lbs since the start of my 2 day pre-op liquid diet. Surgery was 5 weeks ago.

    Feeling pretty positive right now.[/quote']

    Good for you.

  6. Hey sorry if lately I'm all into my self & not being supportive of others. I had all my medical history down pack & wala I get deny for SSDI. I'm so PESSED off but I'm already in process of a lawyer. I contacted a lawyer that will work on my case & I just did the appeal on line.

Looks like I'm ruining the summer for my kids once again. Ugh! I can't do this to them one more year. God I wasn't expecting to be deny.

If I'm quiet or not much in here it's just me so no worries this will be over soon I hope.

Don't worry almost everyone gets denied the first time, my mom has seizures and can't live alone and they denied her the first time.

  7. Having a huge issue !! All day all I wanted to do was eat !! I having been mainly eating Protein but only little amounts at a time .... Is that maybe why?

You could try eating 3 or 4 small meals instead of grazing on protein all day, just make sure tu eat protein first.

  9. Wow! My surgeon told me no fruit until I'm at 85% of goal. I'm 3 months post' date=' I've lost 75 pounds. Have not been cleared yet or raw vegetables. I see my doctor on the 10th, so I at least see fresh vegetables in my near future. My program is very strict, and I'm living it. I've had no problems post op at all.[/quote']

I envy your self control. Good work.

  10. Dumping syndrome consists of nausea/ vomiting' date=' diarrhea, cramps, sweats etc. never had dumping syndrome that feels like the flu..[/quote']

I thought that's what having the flu feels like. Either way those are also the symptoms my Dr described.

  11. Haven't been on here in sooooo long. Everyone looks so awesome' date=' love seeing progress pics. I started out @ 260lbs on Aug 27, 2012 and currently @ 164lbs. I'm oober happy with my results, some weeks I lose some, some weeks I don't as most of us know it can fluctuate, but overall I'm happy! My next goal is 150lbs

  12. What does dumping feel like?

I just ate 1/2 cup of watermelon and my lower abdomen started hurting really badly. Not near the pouch but like near the colon. I feel awful right now. Nauseated and in pain.

    Is this dumping?

My Dr said it feels like having the flu.

  13. I haven't had the energy to start really exercising yet. I'm 2 and half weeks post op. I haven't had any complications or trouble with food yet. Most of the time I just feel like the smallest tasks take all my energy. I work night shifts 7pm-5am so I already have a backwards schedule and am tired. Lol. I should be getting enough protein' date=' I start the day with a 20 oz Protein that has 42-50 grams of protein. I take my Multivitamin and b-12 everyday. I usually try to eat two or three times, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, even had chicken salad this week. Then try to get another 8 oz Protein Shake in along with other fluids. So I'm hoping the fatigue is just because I'm only a little over two weeks out and still healing inside. The other thing I have thought is maybe my Iron? My multivitamin has iron so I haven't been taking extra. I have a dr appt in August to check my B12 etc. In the meantime I walk a lot at work every night, I'm a forensic chemist in an open, roughly 20 thousand square foot lab. I did rearrange today and get my gazelle/glider and boflex out. So happy energetic thoughts this way:)[/quote']

I would try and split your 20 shake up over more time, you may be taking in more protein than your body can handle and the remainder is getting wasted. Also force your self to do a like work out every "morning as in your morning" after a couple weeks of making yourself do that a few tines a week you may feel more energetic.

  14. Has anyone else hit a stall yet on the scale? I am just about 4 weeks post op and i have not lost or gained a lb since july 2...... Soooo frustrated

From what I have read from others who have hit stalls around this time they changed up their eatting, upped their Protein and started exercising more.

  15. I'm 2.5 weeks out and my doctor told me to eat 6-8 times a day no more then a cup at each time. I sometimes eat more frequently because I'm hungry but I only eat a 1/4- 1/2 cup at most. And my left side is still sore my RN said it will be for about 3 months but the more you walk to better it will get. Hope this helps!

Walking helps the left side pain? I am one week post up and my left side hurts like crazy sometimes especially when I first lay down.
