    One of my belts has a few new holes in it as I refuse to buy a bew belt till I hit 199. Its my measuring stick. ;)

  2. Well today was my 3 month follow-up. I'm not doing as well as many/most of you. I am down 46lbs by their scale (48.4 by mine but who's counting?) so I missed the 50 - 60 lb goal so I'm bummed and beating myself up today. I can give a slew of excuses and I know I need to get to exercising more' date=' and drink more fluids.

    Dr was not discouraged tried to tell me I've lost 42% of my anticipated loss but I'm still wallowing in self-pity. I feel good, my blood pressure is down, I've thrown out my first pair of fat pants so it's stupid I am crying about 4 lbs but I'm so upset about it. New goal is 30 -40 lbs in the next 90 days.

  3. Hi all,

    This is my 3month pic next to a picture I took a couple of weeks after I decided to get the surgery in Jan/Feb. I am down 76lbs total since then, 46 of that was post op at my 3 month appt last week. It's has been a roller coaster but I am still glad I did it! Thanks for being my friends here. You have been my rock!

  4. Cauliflower pizza Crust

    Ingredients--- 1 cup cooked' date=' riced cauliflower 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese 1 egg, beaten 1 teaspoon dried oregano ½ teaspoon crushed garlic ½ teaspoon garlic salt olive oil (optional) pizza sauce, shredded cheese and choice of your toppings*

    Instructions--- To "rice" the Cauliflower: Take 1 large head of fresh cauliflower, remove stems and leaves, and chop the florets into chunks. Add to food processor and pulse until it looks like grain. Do not over-do pulse or you will puree it. (If you don't have a food processor, you can grate the whole head with a cheese grater). Place the riced cauliflower into a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 5 minutes. There is no need to add Water, as the natural moisture in the cauliflower is enough to cook itself. When cooled squeeze out Water. One large head should produce approximately 3 cups of riced cauliflower. The remainder can be used to make additional pizza crusts immediately, or can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week.

    To Make the Pizza Crust: Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Spray a cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray. In a medium bowl, stir together 1 cup cauliflower, egg and mozzarella. Add oregano, crushed garlic and garlic salt, stir. Transfer to the cookie sheet, and using your hands, pat out into a 9" round. Optional: Brush olive oil over top of mixture to help with browning.

    Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes. Remove from oven. To the crust, add sauce, toppings and cheese. Place back on oven til cheese is melted and enjoy!!

  5. My family loves homemade pizza!! But the carbs are of course not good for us fellow bypassers' date=' so I tried the cauliflower pizza crust. I must say it was amazing!!! It's filling, flavorful, low carb and low calorie!! It was a winner!!! I put a little sauce, some low sodium ham, beef, onions, bell peppers, and low fat cheese! I didn't even miss the crust!! As a matter of fact, we went to a local pizza place tonight for a party and I ate 1 very small piece of cheese pizza thin crust...I have felt yucky ever since!! This cauliflower crust will be my new go too!! My kids and dad were just pulling it apart eating the crust with no topping!! If you haven't tried it and you miss pizza, please do! You won't be disappointed!! I just googled "cauliflower pizza crust" and tweaked it a bit to our taste likings. I've gotten off track a bit and gained 10 lbs because of it. So I have put my foot down and am working to make whatever substitutions I can! This was a delicious sub to the fatty, high carb pizza I used to be addicted too!! Just wanted to share and be an encouragement and say that we CAN all do this and if we mess up, make a mistake, or slip back into those old habits...tomorrow is a new day and a fresh start!!   6. Ugh. I went a little overboard last night. I went to my cousins wedding. I didn't eat alot and I didn't have ANY cake but I did have about 3 small glasses of wine and a few puffs on a cigar. I just feel yucky. I think it was the cigar more then the wine. Never doing that again.

    I miss a good cigar and glass of wine with backgammon. Yeah, that cigar will get you if its been a while

  7. I am so nauseated all of sudden. Over only had my Protein Shake so far today. I took a New sub lingual b-12 pill. I'm wondering now if that may be the culprit. Any one else have problems with b-12 quick dissolve sub lingual pills

    I chew them to get it over with. The C is so sour to me.

  9. It been awhile since I've been on this so here's an update I had my surgery June 24th' date='2013 and I'm on what my 10 week post up and everything going good so far ... Been making alot of slow cooker meals that's been lasting me all week for lunch for work... I have to still remember not to drink right after eating cause ill get that discomfort feeling and have to eventually throw up but other than that I've been doing good... I'm not counting calories (I prolly should) but today my daily menu was a cup of cereal with 2percent milk, and a string cheese for breakfast, lunch I had fruit, and honey granola bar, Water Water water, dinner at work I had half cup of chicken pot pie stew without the crust just everything that's in the middle, and ill have alil snack when I get home from work, plus of course my Vitamins.. My only downfall would be potatoes I put them in alot of my Soup and stews. now on another note i don't want to be gross but I've been having trouble going number two I've been having to take laxatives every couple weeks just to go is there a reason should I be eatting more of something to go?? I've doing alot of bike riding and hiking during these summer months ill prolly join the gym comes winter around the corner.. This past Labor Day weekend I went up my uncles mountain house and was doing alot of trails and hiking up his way.

    P.s I've been craving the Pasta grrr lol ?de1c

    I keep my calories under 1000...except for tonight because im bummed and fell back on a bad habit. I did have calorie wiggle room fortunately. I will NOT take the hummas chip bag in the livingroom EVER AGAIN!

  11. So I had an afternoon movie date today. The guy text me all day about how he was looking forward to seeing me. I got to the theater and he never showed up. I called and text and waited 20 mins before I left. As i sat in front of the theater I couldn't help but to feel like the same fat girl who didn't have a prom date. I have to wonder' date='.will I ever stop feeling like the rejected fatty? Even 100 lbs from now will I still have these same evil thoughts?

  12. I have to brag for a moment. Hope y'all don't mind. But its just before 6am and I've already walked a mile including going up and down a very steep hill and 4 sets of stairs. This is such a huge accomplishment for me especially considering I have two young kids that also have to get up and ready for a school bus by 6:15! My new motto.. NO MORE EXCUSES. I remind myself that only I can control my health and achieve my goal to being fit and thin.

    I have people issues. Rather, I have being around lots of people issues. When I feel the reactions getting big...usually anger at the drama...I just go to a quiet place and breathe. When I feel fat again after being around those with genes that give them the "figure" most desired, I look in the mirror and see the 40 since wls and the 45 lbs I lost from the year before and paraphrase an old movie. "LOOOOOKING GOOOOOD!" And I do. I'm getting healthy for me and who gives a rat's bum about them. Everyone has drama and I will keep mine instead of adopting more and possibly worse. Tyvm! ;o)

  14. Wanna hear something weird and a bit ironic? My doc finally called yesterday with the results of my kidney stone analysis during my EGD. He said I have uric acid kidney stones and to not eat a lot of shellfish or animal Protein. Funny thing is' date=' I haven't had any! When I got that stone I wasn't even drinking my protein anymore cause I was so sick. Gonna call my Bari doc today and see if I need to switch to soy protein.[/quote']

  15. Can I have a pill that's in a capsule I'm one week out on Thursday. It tastes awful if I take it apart

    I wouldn't. There is a liquid Vitamin I got from Walmart that got me through. Can't remember the brand. Sorry!
