Crystal light was my go to for Clear Liquids. Unjury unflavored Protein will give you 20 grams of protein when mixed in.

Hi, I'm bi polar as well. I have been on lamictal and sertraline for 7 years. I have had some episodes since having the gastric bypass and I know it's because my meds are not being absorbed the way they use to. My dr said to split up my meds. I use to take them all at night. I take half dosage in the morning and half at night. It seems to help.

    Hi everyone,
It has been a long two months! I've had a lot of up and downs emotionally especially in the first month. I haven't had any real issues other than being extra tired I think because I lost my first 30 lbs in less than 3 weeks. Now that I'm losing a little slower I'm not at tired. I'm 2 months and 2 days post op. As of yesterday I have officially lost 50lbs! Start weight 230lbs. Current weight 180lbs. I have 40lbs to my goal!

For Hair loss , it is normal and it does come back ... I lost some at 3 months out and it came back at 9 months out from my surgery ... Make sure you are getting all your Vitamins and add Biotin to your daily intake of vitamins ... Another thing that helps with the Protein is unflavored Unjury and you can mix it in everything but Water ...

So today I cried in the dressing room. Happy tears! I was a size 18/20 jeans the day of surgery. Today I fit into a size 6! I won't share this with my family or friends so I will share it here. I love my sleeve. Best decision I ever made.

mamafine23 reacted to LipstickLady in I'm trying to come to terms with the idea that...
I'm not fat (on the outside) any more! I'm not skinny by any means, but I'm not fat. I weigh 157 pounds which is still far too much for my 5.3 frame, but I wear size medium tops and size 8 pants, which is officially smaller than the average American woman.
I am no longer shopping in the women's section.
I am no longer wearing the largest size in the ladies' department.
I pick up clothes in consignment shops and often have to reject them for being too big. ( WTF?!?!?!)
I fit in bathroom stalls and dressing rooms with room to spare.
I can walk through turnstiles/bus aisles/theatre rows front ways instead of turning sideways and sucking it in.
I no longer stress when some jackhole parks too close to my minivan when I can barely open my car door to squeeze in.
    Every seatbelt fits.
I can put my handbag in my seat with me instead of on a different chair.
I can sit in a booth without my tummy and/or boobs smooshing up against the table.
People don't mind sitting next to me at the movies or in tight restaurants.
More people make eye contact/open doors/smile/initiate conversation with me than ever before.
I am no longer looking around to see if I am the biggest person in the room because I'm not. Ever. Not even in Zumba.
I can wear my leggings home from the gym and stop at the store without caring if I run I to anyone I know.
I could go on forever. I'm still a fat girl on the inside so this whole thing is very surreal. It's just finally starting to set in that after 20 years of being obese, I'm now just a regular sized fit mom (with some loose skin) who can do anything I fracking want to do because I gifted myself with the least easy "easy way out" I could have ever chosen to do.
    Love love love. Love.

mamafine23 got a reaction from Amyllf2 in Why did you pick Gastric Bypass vs Gastric Sleeve?
It's based a lot on pros a and cons.... I wasn't a candidate for sleeve because I wasn't fat enough under my insurance ...my husband had the sleeve and he lost 150 lbs but then it just stopped... The bypass is more restrictive and works better for long term success from what I hear... I had the bypass March of 2013 and losr 100 lbs in 9 months ... Not going to lie, I thought I knew what restrictive was until I actually went through it...I needed the side effects that you can have if you get into the bad habits that got you into the situation the first time ...I have learned a lot about myself and the relationship that food had over me....you will see a lot of pros and cons for the bypass and sleeve but you got to look at what you really need....It's only a tool and the hard work still comes from us...good luck

I had my bypass on March 8,2014. My heighest weight was 292. The day of my surgery I was 282lbs. My current weight is 148.2 lbs... It was hard in the beginning and I regretted it for the first few weeks because I never realized what a hold that food had on me...I was jealous that everyone could eat what they wanted and I was left with shakes and baby food...I went through some depression and anger but it only lasted a short time... This was the best decision I have ever made and I love my new life with my family .

Good morning everyone! At least it's morning here in California. I have some exciting news to share. I am a week from being seven months out and this weigh day marked my 100 pound weight loss. I am down to 167 pounds and 33.5 inches all around my body, I have lost 10 pant sizes, I'm starting to get muscle tone now, and what I'm super excited about- I FIT ON ROLLER COASTERS AGAIN!
Tell me something you were excited about when you hit One-derland, or what you hope to do once you get there.
