  1. Lol! It makes it hard when ya gotta work! And I have another question? Why is it some docs make ya wait a month before soft foods and other are like a week out? I just don't get it? I jus started 2 weeks full liquid.
  2. Yea I just tried one today. I think I can get it all down before the end of the day. 35 grams of protein tho. And way better than the shakes ya make with powder.. Eww that didnt sit well with me at all!
  3. Omg! I hope that it gets better! I'm 9 days out and started diarrhea yesterday and it hasn't stopped yet! Ugh! Sooo frustrating! Can't imagine 6 weeks of it!!!! can we take anything for it?
  4. This is a little TMI but I have to ask. I'm 9 days post op and last night I was having watery BM all night and into this AM. Feeling blah. Had my first taste of a protein shake yesterday. Could that of been the reason??? Has that happened to anyone else?
  5. Did your dr put any of you on a prescription medicine to prevent getting gall stones? Jus curious cause my Dr did. I had RNY 8 days ago.
  6. Yep clear liquids first week after surgery... Then full liquids for 2 weeks, then purée
  7. My surgery only took hour n half... But don't remember anything till bout 430, 5 and I went in at 1130 I remember kinda waking up and trying to focus on a clock lol next thing ya know it was 630pm! Good luck tho!
  8. My nurse said today(I'm 6 days post op) she doesn't understand why ppl fight the pain meds. That's why they give them to you... Struggling through the pain isn't going to heal you any faster . And it's going to take more than one bottle of pain meds to become addicted to them. Mine have been a blessing. I am down to taking one script and one Tylenol. All is going great! drain tube out Wednesday! Whoo hoo
  9. Had mine last tues.... I know how you feel! They wheeled me into operating room and I had to scooch from one bed to the op table, and as I lay there watching everyone and seeing these machines... I told nurse you better knock me out soon cause I'm starting to freak out! Lol
  10. I'm a week post op and my feet are always cold too! Wth?! Lol
  11. I taken my pain meds everyday until today and I'm on my 6th day post op. and I hurt everyday... Everyone's different. I mean they did after all stick 6 things thru your abdominal wall and re arrange your insides. I thinks it only natural to hurt for a week or so!
  12. Amen to that! People that aren't big just don't get it. I could diet Hard and excersize for a year an MAYBE lose 50 lbs lol ~maybe~

  16. I'm in my 5th day out. Doing much better! Those first couple are rough for sure! Having some hot decaf tea this morn and its so good lol can't wait to start protein next week!
  17. I have drain for a week, doc said its to check for possible leaks. Says drink blues or greens that first week, if ya see it in the ball, call him ASAP. But sum dr do some dont. Unfortunately mine does.
  18. I have a drain tube for a week. Told me its to watch for leaks, and to drink blue and green liquids. If ya see it in the ball, call Dr
  19. I was wondering this myself. Thanks for any input! Ill keep ya posted on my experience.

  21. My doc gave me a plastic lanyard to put around my neck to hook it to! Works right nice
  22. I'm ok.... Lots of abdominal pain. I'm on 3rd day. Hoping tomorrow it'll ease up a little! Been drinkin water all day.
