  1. OMG, I'm glad you all are ok and safe.
  2. Thank you. My appointment went well, BMI now 26.6, I came from almost 40 BMI, yay!! I get my lab results tomorrow.
  3. Good Morning Ladies, well today I go for my 6 month check up (although it's really 7months), I'm kind of excited to hear what the doc has to say. I will also have blood worked up today, to make sure my body is getting nutrients it needs. And I must speak to the nutritionist, I've got questions, lol. I'm 8lbs from my doc goal weight and 13 lbs away from my personal goal of 135.
  4. It will move (the scale). In my monthly RNY support group, the nurse, told us to weigh ourselves everyday, because if u don't, you could easily fall off track as it pertains to intake of water and protein...I did it and it helped me. But what I found out, many folks doesn't like this idea.
  5. OMG....you look beautiful, you working RNY...you can see the happiness in your new you pics...keep up the good work.
  6. Will your Doc remove it at the same time as your RNY?
  7. I know what you mean, it's colder than a------- you fill in the blank, lol
  8. Congratulations, welcome to the losers side....
  9. I'm sorry, surgery date: 6/10/13
  10. 5'3 HW: 243 SW: 230 CW: 151 I was 144, I gained a few being in the house and non active. GW: 135-140
  11. Your family is afraid of change, they are afraid of what would become of the new you. My husband did not support me at all, in the beginning, because I qualified for WLS because of co-morbidities, I received a lot of flack from some family and friends, but at the end of the day, you got to do what's best for your health. 7 months later, my husband realized the only thing that changed about me is my dress size, and he love it...your family will have to adjust and accept your decision to be healthy.
  12. I consider myself Black American, lol....I had RNY 6/10/13...I'm happy to report I'm 20 lbs. away from my goal weight. I'm from Chicago, IL. How have you been since your surgery?
  13. You look great. Did you gain a few pounds before reaching your goal? Just two weeks ago I was 4 lbs away from my goal of 140...being in the house because of the cold weather I am now 13 lbs away....I'm 7 months out...my personal goal is to maintain between 135-140...but you do look good.
  14. This is how I feel about Ashley Stewart's and Lane Bryant.
  15. You look great, so pretty.
  16. I took 10 weeks off, I wanted to make sure I was ready to return and I wanted to get a routine going with what I was able to eat before returning, I'm glad I took that time off, I used my short term disability along with FMLA.
  17. Happy New Year's...I pray 2014 bring you all the joys your heart desires.
  18. WOW...I know what you mean, a few years ago you would have been able to get these items without a prescription. Why won't your doc just write a prescription? I had this to happen to me last year, I have a different flex spend account, however, I used the rest of the money getting my teeth cleaned and I purchased new eye glasses. Maybe you can use it a different way and I do believe they give extension into January, check into that. Well I hope it work out, it does come in handy, just know next year, you can elect a smaller amount.
