  1. Ok I have finally found a pic of when I really was at my heaviest. It was my husbands cousin who took it without me really knowing it cause I avoided pics at all cost. I kinda didn't really have many reference pics. I started crying seeing this. This reminds me just how wonderful rny was for me..not counting the curing sleep apnea and all the other health stuff. 13 more lb to my personal goal even tho my dr thinks I could still get a bit smaller..I think it just might be possible!
  2. Idk about u guys but..my butt hurts every time I sit for more than a few minutes! I don't miss being fat but I miss apparently having enough cushion back there to not make sitting down literally a pain in the rear! Car rides..work when I am sitting..it all pretty much sucks! Tell me I'm not the only one?? I love my new body..just not having to sit for long periods of time!!
  3. Quiet possible. I myself can't handle milk anymore. I'm down to soy or almond. There are some who become lactose intolerant after rny. So it's ok just a change and adjustment u got this!!
  4. I think so but u know the useful phrase of talk with your dr I had nausea I think the 1st 2 months or so. A lot going on while u are healing and new dietary changes. Zofran became my friend for awhile and things gradually got better. Hang in there.!
  5. It's ok..I remember all to clearly being scared and in the same position where u are now. I knew I heard about stalls but didn't expect my 1st one so soon. It was right between week 4-5. I got so upset and thought it was over! Well The good news is it wasn't and things got better. There will be times u stall and wanna scream and times when all of a sudden u realize u lost more than u thought! The last few months I got upset cause only lost 6-8 in the recent months then I realize all Of a sudden I lost like 14 in a month! There were days/ weeks I lost nothing and then I put on my clothes and they were falling off of me. It's a weird journey at times where it doesn't always make sense but it's worth it! Hang in there and try not to get discouraged. Try to not let it frustrate u where u don't wanna eat Your body has a natural inclination to wanna hold on to things like its in starvation mode. Just wanted to give u some encouragement! This too shall pass and u are doing amazing!! Keep up the good work!
  6. It happens instead of those roll up patio shades I have roll up thighs!
  7. Awesome! Gotta feel wonderful right? Good work!!
  8. What a sweetheart! Yes! Hold on tight cause it's quiet a ride. Thankfully I've not had many complications and it's been such a blessing. I've ditched the cpap the last month or so and that's huge. It seemed kinda slow at times but that was my impatience more than anything. It's hard to believe all that's changed for me.
  9. Date of your surgery? It does seem to kinda drag but u will be on the path in no time. I can't believe it's been six months! A few bumps and challenges but honestly the best thing I've ever done for myself!
  10. I'm doing great how are u guys??
  11. congrats!!! Way to go!!
  12. Hi! Well I've had the rather misfortune to not be able to tolerate chicken. I actually have quiet an aversion to it after being sick from it several times. My nutritionist had told me to take a break and try dark piece as they would be the more moist part and maybe could tolerate it well. I had tried chicken prob about 4 times and had the same reaction no matter how well I thought I chewed. I've just concluded I can't tolerate chicken. We all have different little things that change after surgery. I can handle the very finely shredded pieces but that's about all I've had the nerve to try. I'm 6 mo post op. Good luck.
  13. I've added flax into my diet and it really seems to help. I have been taking flaxseed oil as well as buy the whole flax which is pretty good and has a very mild nutty flavor. I sprinkle on my yogurt.
  14. You look wonderful! Way to go! Plus looking at your before and after pic...u look happier!
  15. I'm back. Feeling for the most part a bit normal part of myself. I'm having a harder time getting back on track with dietary intake. I have a lot of emotional eating temptations right now. I somehow have managed to lose a pretty big chunk this last month at least weight wise. My belly is starting to go back down which for me is a relief in more ways than 1. Still recording my fitness pal food logs but I really wouldn't want anyone seeing what all I'm having. I'm now 14lb away from my personal goal after weighing this morning and it's the biggest positive I feel right now. My surgeon had set a bit wider if a goal but I had a number in mind I thought would make me pretty thrilled. Missed y'all. Hope y'all are all doing well
  16. Well here is my update. I finally feel emotionally ready to share it with u guys. I found out at my appt Mon that I have lost the babies. It was probably the worst day of my entire life. I can't even put words to how the last few days have been. I had hope to be able to pass them naturally and that has not happened..and my dr told me could possibly be more difficult at 10 weeks. I go today for my d&c. It's definitely not what I wanted or even planned. I'm finally in a phase I'm starting to feel some what better and can hold my head up without crying nonstop. I've basically avoided all of my friends and even my family. I just couldn't handle the pity and words they would feel they were obligated to tell me. It makes no sense to me and I don't think it ever will. It's so hard to come from 2 babies and seeing tiny heartbeat to having nothing. At this point I'm just wanting to work through my grief. There will be no more babies as my husband and I just don't feel we can do this again. This is our 2nd miscarriage together and my 4th total. It's hard to swallow a crackhead can do it, a 14year old girl can do it..and so many other that don't want their children or the ones who abuse them. I have no answers and it hurts to even think about it too much. At this point I'm trying to do as my husband keeps suggesting and focus in on the positive. It's hard to see and feel right now but there is some there. I do have a beautiful and wonderful 10year old who is the light of my life and I have love of a wonderful man. I want to try to focus in more on myself. Continue this journey I started and try to max it out to the most. That's all I want right now...to feel ok. I want to thank y'all for all the love and support. You guys are the most amazing friends I could ask for. I will try to get back in touch with u guys when this is all over. If u have a moment and time for a extra prayer..I could really use it today.
  17. Congrats on your journey! Best thing I've ever done for myself. I had responded to your prev post about South MS. I'm from there but out of the area now. My family still lives there and I miss home. Keep in touch if u would like. I would love to talk to someone back home at times.
