  1. I think mild excercise might help....I was in constant pain and taking some time to do water aerobics in the therapy pool at our Y helps. Doesn't help my insomnia though.I need to exercise to lose weight anyway and swimming and walking helps.
  2. Hi and welcome. I'm new to the site...had my surgery 4/29/13. Down 33. Lbs.from 297. I have a major issue with chronic pain...something called Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome which I got after a heart surgery 13 years ago. The doctors always told me losing weight would help my pain so I had rny after trying to lose for many years. I've had no issues with the surgery and missing things but boy do I understand people not understanding chronic pain issues. I'm sorry your son doesn't understand and I hope you feel better soon.Congratulations on weight loss!
  3. Totally normal after any major surgery to feel emotional but we're also dealing with giving up an entire lifestyle. I just got back from a gathering and someone plopped an entire box of leftovers baked goods in my lap so I could take it home.I kinda freaked! Not wanting to explain to this semi - stranger I just accepted and will let the family have it. I would also get dome fat free sugar free frozen yogurt for yourself...you deserve it!
  4. I get to start eating soft foods Monday...just wonderng what some good choices might be.I got some carving board chicken breast ..quick and easy but it might be too rough.I'm also wondering about veggies....which ones to avoid and the best wat to cook them.As long as they're not pureed!

  6. Hi I'm new to the site too.I had my surgery on 4/29 and I'm doing well. I'm really happy I found this site...there's lots of support and great ideas! I'm down 33 lbs ....from 297 to 264. My goal weight is 170. I'm. 5'10 and at that weight I'm a size 8/10.
  7. Glad you're home!
  8. It's good that what I'm really craving is chicken breast...I can start chewing Monday! I hope I tolerate white meat. I know some people have a hard time with it.I'm going to start with canned white meat chicken salad made with Greek yogurt and dill. Delicious! How soon were you able to tolerate raw veggies? I know I have awhile yet but I'm just wondering.
  9. I just removed myself when others ate...it was the smell! I still leave when I smell piazza...can't eat that!

  11. I hate to be dishonest but I do feel that my business is my business. I went to Mother's Day brunch and ate beforehand.I really enjoyed my families' company so I concentrated on that. I also noticed how much and how fast they ate....that was me! I'm going on a trip in a fee weeks and will be eating out...had to pay for a whole dinner at a conference because there was no sharing...$23.00 down the tubes! Ah welll...small price to pay!
