  1. So easy....drain chopped spinach really well and wring out with some paper towel til dry. Mix 8 eggs with 1/2 c milk, 1/2 t nutmeg and salt and pepper. Pour into defrosted deep dish pie crust with spinach. Cover loosely with foil and bake at 350 for about an hour or until set. Let set for 5 minutes before serving. You can add Swiss cheese if desired. Yummy, yummy!
  2. Need prayers...hey gang..sorry to go on about health problems, but I'm really struggling. I keep having stroke like symptoms, and I've been having excruciating pain in my ear. It's literally more painful than labor. The doctors keep sending me from ent to neurology to pain doctors...and they say it's a blood vessel pressing on a nerve in my face. The neurosurgeon is going to review my case and see if he'll take my case. It only once in awhile, but I don't know how to handle the pain when it comes. Where do you go when doctors pass you around because they don't know what to do? I'm feeling really hopeless. Can you all pray for me? I feel that God can answer when doctors have no hope. Sorry to go on. I hope everyone is doing well.
  3. Spinach quiche...skipped the crust.
  4. If I've learned anything, it's to not compare my loss to anyone else's. I have to trust my own journey, maintain a food log, exercise, and follow my doctor's recommendations.

  11. Mz shay...we all go through a period of mourning food and feeling down some days. I know you've had a tough time, and I'm so sorry to hear it. Have you been evaluated for depression by a qualified professional? Depression can worsen or appear after gastric bypass. I think ongoing therapy could really help. Ask for a referral from your primary or surgeon...you seem really down....I worry for you, hon.
  12. Always check with your doctor regarding this stuff...I was afraid the capsule was too big for at least the first month or so...didn't want anything to get stuck.
  13. I don't know what the pain is...call your Doc. As for the issue of being in pain Take your pain meds on time to stay comfortable; don't let get it get out of control. Really try to get your fluids in...it would suck to get dehydrated.
