  1. Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone has had H. Pylori or an ulcer and what your symptoms were. I've been to the dr but won't get tests til the first of next week. I know I'm ready for relief! Thanks in advance for the replies and input! Have a blessed rest of the weekend ;)
Hi, Both my sister and I were tested for H pylori and came back positive. We had to take a box of 4 pills (antibiotic) per day. I have never had any symptoms. I didn't even know I had or what was it. Now am good and 3months out from surgery. Feel absolutely amazing. Lost 63% of my excess weight. Hope you doing good and hang in there..ur time will come!!!

  2. Thats awesome! How is your diet going are you eating food yet?

Hi..I am doing great. I started to eat chicken, tuna, little bits of meat, ground beef, Beans....pretty much anything moist. I am excited and scared to try salad because sometimes I have some pains when something is not so moist. Am down to 203 as of today. Hope by Saturday to be 200lbs, and by end of august be out of the 200's FOREVER!! I have started to exercise normally..some weight lifting and OMG I run the treadmill like I never did before. Am getting tons of compliments...some people tells me I have been bitchy. But hey look at me now...how can you not be bitchy. Am feeling so great that I wished I had done this years ago..but there is always the right time for things. How are you doing?

  3. Hi guys! I'm hoping to get clearance for exercise on 8/1. I've always loved the Water and hope to find a water aerobics class soon. But for someone who is not a fan of exercising; where should I start? Are there programs for beginners? If I get a trainer are they going to yell at me? This whole thing makes me the most nervous. Thanks

    C

Hi, I love exercise even before surgery. Had my surgery on 07/01/2013. I really suggest you find classes. Cardio classes (spinning is awesome). Try some light weight lifting classes so you can be toned. That way you will start easily and enjoy. Also, some people like to have a working out buddy. I personally don't because I focus more on my work out. Try enrolling yourself at a gym that has classes and trainers. That way you can do some classes, learn exercise from other trainers and so forth. I really really really suggest you working out. It feel great after it!!

  4. Mine was July 8th. My family is all so supportive but I feel like all I'm doing is complain. I'd love for someone who's getting all their fluids, Protein and calories in to post their schedule and what amounts of food they are eating. I often tend to over think things make it much more difficult than it needs to be. My husband had his surgery February 19th and quite honestly made it look easy. Anyone who thinks that this is "easy" is so wrong. It really is a lot of work. I know the reward will be worth all the hard work.

Oh me too. My sister had in June 2012. I said I could really do it and it was easy. But I was sooo wrong. And yes at the end is all worth it. I do wish also someone could put in their schedule. It's tough.

  5. 196.7lbs this morning!!! I'M IN ONEDERLAND!!! Seriously, I'm SO happy!!

I remember being either 12 or 13 years old, hitting 200lbs... I swore I'd work it off and never hit that weight again. I cried so hard that day... Well, I'm 25 now and today is the first day I've accomplished that goal... It only took me about 13 years but that's ok! I'll never hit 2something again. I love my tool, my new found confidence, and my family (if i were small earlier in life, i feel like i may have a different man and son... And I'm so happy things happened the way they did. I was big for a reason. Now, I'm ready to do me with my beautiful family!!)!!

This is me last night, home after a loong day at OOB, ME!

OMG!! I feel the same way as you do. That was the same age I hit the 200's. After I had my son I was 290. EWW don't even like to remember. I will never ever be even the near the 200's in my life. Love how I feel and how my husband looks at me. He has always loved me how I was, but now I feel more confident. CONGRATS ON YOUR JOURNEY AND HAPPINESS!!! :D

  7. Surgery was July 8th for me. I did so well in the hospital and came home the next day. Now, I'm having such a hard time getting my fluids, Protein and calories in each day. It definitely helps to be able to read other people's journeys on here so far.

I had and still have the same problem. Maybe that is why I have been feeling sooo exhausted, not enough protein and fluids. I will see my doctor on Tuesday. I better start better on my protein and fluids. Or else she will yell at me!!

  8. 4 more days. This liquid diet is killing me but chewing sugar free extra desert delight gum. Tricks my mind in thinking I am having apple pie. Lol

lol I know how it is. I have to have some gum in my mouth as well. First couple of days I missed the chewing, crunchy stuff really bad, and plus I can't stand the bad taste in my mouth. BE POSITIVE!!! GOOD LUCK!!

  9. I haven't yet I had cheated on my pre op diet eek. But my surgery date is on the 31st. How long have you been on the blended diet?

Sent from my SCH-I605 using RNYTalk

Well..am confused because some people tell me blended diet then soft food. But I have been doing veggies cooked very well to the point I can chew it very easily. I have been pretty much not eating much because I can't seem to remind myself to eat. SW was 244 now am at 217. I cannot wait to leave the 200's.
