  1. Seafood like steamed shrimp, scallops and lobster are high protein low fat and the keys have tons. Enjoy!

  4. That's fantastic! I stay away from stripes so I get that completely.
  5. Mine started yesterday my surgery is tomorrow ... I think it will be done tonight tho cuz it is super light. Ill be prepared for it to start again
  6. They told me no aspirin a week before or after ever. I wasn't sure about Tylenol the night before so thought I would error on the safe side.
  7. My husband did the same thing initially but I brought him to an appointment with me and once he heard the facts from the doctor (and not his wife with two master degrees in healthcare) he got on board. I teased him afterward and told him I think I speak at a frequency he can't hear sometimes. Lol
  8. I am sorry that stinks. I was worried about going 12+ hours without anything to drink too. Ill drink a glass at midnight. They aren't making me do a bowel prep because I've been on liquids for thirty days. I did drink 1/2 of magnesium citrate because I wanted cleaned out. Kind of regretting that now. Liquids in liquids out. I have a headache too but afraid to take anything for it.
  9. Congratulations!! Im tomorrow! !
  10. I got my surgery time for tomorrow. I check in at 9 and surgery is at 11. I am nervous now...
  11. holy smokes! that is amazing! ive only lost 9lbs in the 29 days of 800 calorie optifast. Great job!
  12. Don't compare to others! It's your journey. remember we are all in it together just at different points. You lead your life and you will reach your goals. 42 is awesome! Pick up to 20 lb weights and I challenge you to walk around for long... you've got this.
  13. Remember puree isn't chewed it is blended food with no visible chunks. It is pretty dangerous to not follow the plan. That's why they make plans. Just be careful if you go that route.
  14. Three days of liquid is the hardest part. By day four you don't care any more. I've been on liquids for 29 days now. One more to go! Then surgery on Wednesday.
  15. I feel better today. Today was my last day at work. I am working from home tomorrow half day then calling it so I can do my bowl prep early. I ended up calling my psych doctor this afternoon to talk through my anxiety. At Mayo they have a team assigned to you (surgeon, bariatrician, nut, and psych). I was do proud of myself because I reached out for my team to help me and that is exactly what they want us to do. Talking to her helped me understand my anxiety and I feel so much better now! With that said, my worst fear came true first thing this morning... I got my period. God willing it will be done by Wednesday but if it isn't she even helped me with that fear too. It's going to be what it will be now. Thanks al!!!! 1 more day of Optifast ( day 29) and im on my way!!
  16. Have you checked your blood pressure?
  17. Holy smokes that is wonderful!! That is amazing! Good luck with your return to the office. Luckily my surgeon signed me out for eight weeks and STD will pay while im away. I plan to focus on me while out. I have a very stressful job as a hospital administrator so it will be nice focusing on me for a while.
  18. Thank you for your kind words. Peace is exactly what I need right now. You are right, I need to draw from my screen name and believe I am worth it once and for all.
  19. Wow that is amazing!! I am glad you are doing so well!
