  1. Prayers for you, keep up the great work
  2. Just take a test if you think you might be preggars. Also another form of birth control if you dont want a baby, but you know all that. I have an IUD and havent had a period in years then out of the blue i have a full on 5 day period with cramps and everything, crazy.
  3. Sugar free jello, sugar free popsicles, and lots of low sodium broth, and ice, hang in there, it will get easier in a few days
  4. Surgery was Thursday the 27th, came home rhe next day, i can't complain, have not taken any pain meds today, drinking water, walking, napping, took a shower, it is incredible to think I finally had the surgery and am now on the losers bench with all of you.
  5. I agree with you 100%. I quit smoking cold turkey 7 years ago, have given up drinking, and working through a food addiction is the hardest thing I've ever had to do. Food has been the one and only thing that has always been there for me no matter what was happening. I have planned everything around food. When I first started researching and seriously considering WLS one of my fears was what will I do if I can't eat? We will figure this out and get through it. Good luck to you.
  6. I'm 5'10" my doctor and I didn't set a goal weight. At this point I would like to get down to 200 and see how I feel. If 180 or 190 or lower is right I'll decide then. I am not a small person at all, wide shoulders and hips so don't want to go too low.
  7. I am on the 27th
  8. Hi there, i am pre op too, surgery is the 27th, i feel the same way you do. I read all the posts here and tell myself why i am doing this, what i will gain by losing. I am right there with you, nerves are kicking in.
  9. I teach swim lessons and my doc said i could get back in the pool right away but I won't feel like it.
  10. I live in Washington, my surgery is scheduled for June 27th. Where do you live and where are you having surgery? I live in Gig Harbor and i am going to Saint Frances in Federal Way. Glad to see you here.
  11. Hey all, got my date today, June 27th!!!!
  12. I too researched the sleeve vs bypass. I have chosen bypass for several reasons but the biggest is because my acid reflux is so bad and I won't have that with the bypass. Also I have a lot of weight to lose and think I will have more success with the bypass
