I totally agree! My surgeon is tops! I have followed his strict instructions, lost 150 pounds in 8 months, and have not been sick once! I love the man! Thanks for replying!

    Vitamin Question For Veterans

My surgeon told me I had to stick to chewables or crush for the rest of my life. All my meds have to be crushed. Is he being too restrictive?

    Low blood sugar

I usually eat eggs with a little bit of cheese in a low carb wheat wrap. Thanks for replying!! Meg

    Low blood sugar

Hey everybody I had surgery April 1, 2013. I've lost 150 pounds to date. My problem is low blood sugar between breakfast and lunch and then mid afternoon. Low as in 65. Very shaky. Thanks!

    Where are all the oldies!?

    That's awesome! My surgery was April 1, 2013. I've lost 125. I definitely feel 100% better. I'm 15 pounds from goal. It's a great ride!!

    Weird feeling

I think I am, but I'm going to chew more! Your results are phenomenal! Congratulations. I hope to lose about 40 more pounds. My start was 305, and I'm at 205 right now. Thx for the response.
  7. I am 5 months post, down 100 pounds.....when I eat I have a weird feeling in my stomach, sometimes it feels like it could be in my throat. It is kind of a toss between something feeling like it's a little caught up and almost a empty feeling. It's not particularly pleasant and lasts for quite a while sometimes without going away. Anyone else out there have any similar feelings? It's really my main complaint. Thx!

    4 1/2 months post-op

I kayak a lot so that helps, but I'm also doing weight training. I have a ways to go on the rebuild, but I'm happy. I also do a lot of walking.

    4 1/2 months post-op

Hi, my decision was easy. I had GERD so severely I wasn't a candidate for the sleeve. I have also lost more weight going with the RNY. I had a great surgeon and have been blessed with few problems. Best of luck with your journey!
  10. I never thought it would actually happen. I am 4 1/2 months post-op and have lost 97 pounds. I still have 40 pounds to go. It's all about rebuilding muscle. Best decision I ever made. Have a great weekend!

    Eating watermelon 2 months out

Wow! My surgeon told me no fruit until I'm at 85% of goal. I'm 3 months post, I've lost 75 pounds. Have not been cleared yet or raw vegetables. I see my doctor on the 10th, so I at least see fresh vegetables in my near future. My program is very strict, and I'm living it. I've had no problems post op at all.

    My WLS story....

It is very interesting and disheartening to see anyone struggling. I felt terrible for almost 3 weeks after me surgery, but now I feel mostly well, even to the extent that I have had very little trouble. I can eat about 3 oz. of food at a time. I have some dizziness I think it is because I'm not getting either enough protein or calories. Talk to your surgeon's and let them know if you're having problems. My surgeon was awesome. Best wishes, Meg

    My WLS story....

I had my surgery April 1st. I've lost 70 pounds. The first 3 weeks were hard, but slowly and daily things started to change. I'm so glad I had the surgery. You will do great! Listen to your surgeon and do as he tells you, and you will be fine! Best wishes!
