My band to Roux N Y was on Wednesday, here it is Sunday and I feel good. The first night I had horrible nausea and dry heaves, but after they got my nausea controlled, I felt good. No pain to speak of. I only took pain meds in hosp for four doses. Tired of clear liqs, but get to hopefully move up to full liqs on Tues after postop appt.! So far I am super happy I did it !

In my workshop last week they discussed body image, how we perceive ourselves. They said many people who lose weight cannot get used to the idea of being smaller. In their mind they are always big. I am the opposite. In my mind I am small.
I didn't become heavy until the birth of my twins 27 yrs ago, when I was 26 yrs old. Before that my weight ranged from 110-120. Afterward, my weight went from 175 all the way up to 230. (I'm 5ft tall) In my mind I picture myself the way I used to be. It's always a total shock to catch a glimpse of my reflection in a window or mirror. I think 'Oh my God! That is NOT ME!' I am horrified! It really HURTS my mind to see me like that. And there have not been any photos taken of me in YEARS. I simply have not allowed it. If anything ever happens to me my family will have no photos of me at all. Losing weight for me will make my outside match my inside again. I look forward to welcoming 'me' back.

Yaaaaay, I made it past all the testing, waiting approval, pre-op testing, pre-op diet and now I'm finally having my gastric bypass surgery tomorrow!!! Wish me luck!!

You will be fine I now you always worry about something happening but your more at risk of getting in a car accident about I think they said 1000-1 of something happening after take these letters and put them away in a safe place and keep them and someday after your all skinny and sexy and there old enough give the letters to them and include a before and after picture in each letter

My surgery is also a few days before my birthday!!
