  1. My band to Roux N Y was on Wednesday, here it is Sunday and I feel good. The first night I had horrible nausea and dry heaves, but after they got my nausea controlled, I felt good. No pain to speak of. I only took pain meds in hosp for four doses. Tired of clear liqs, but get to hopefully move up to full liqs on Tues after postop appt.! So far I am super happy I did it !
  2. My surgery is Wednesday morning. Doing the modified liquid diet now. It's not been too hard so far. I am starting to get nervous ! Spending this weekend trying to get my house in order.
  3. I too have a small child. My two yr old is the main motivation for me having the surgery. My surgery is in a couple of weeks, and as it gets closer I am worrying more and more about him. I have never spent a night away from him, so this is going to be a LONG 3 days !

  5. I just got scheduled for May 15, one day before my birthday ! I had to appeal my denial, but finally got approved. Super excited, but scared to death at the same time. I have a 2 yr old, and I keep thinking about the morbid things. I worry about the usual things: what if I don't live through surgery, have serious complications, etc. I have to remind myself that I am doing this so that he can have an active Mom who can play with him without having to stop every few feet. I want to be healthy ! I am excited for you guys too ! Keep me posted !
