  1. Hi dori i am here! Missing you guys too! Wow you are doing so well lady!

Mrs Lulu - DANG! How did you do that??

Share me your golden rules pleeeaase? Still hanging around at 80 pounds lost. I feel like i am last again in a school race!

Are you all religious about your daily calories? Are you also at 800 calories per day? Sometimes i go up to 1000 calories per day. And my Protein is anything between 40 and 60 if i can manage. Dont have a lot of the stuff that i read about on here that is in america. It is really really tough for me to get in a proper amount of protein ;-(

And i am struggling so to get to the gym oh dear goodness.

Please share some secrets ladies! I have a little goal to reach by christmas! About 30 pounds to lose until then' date=' how am i gonna manage that?? Want to reach it so so badly. Oi vey.[/quote']

It is going sound crazy, but I eat a lot of beef Jerky. LOL! I don't hit my calorie count or protein level probably half of the time unless I eat it. I have eaten ALOT of turkey and homemade tortilla pizzas. I lose the most when I eat just a few bites of everything. I am still strict with Fat grams, but not too much with carbs. To me, it feels slow but I know it isn't. I bet it is hard to get all of your protein when there is limited availability. I wish you the best of luck! :-)

  2. 130 lbs GONE FOREVER!!!! Man, what a journey this has been. I don't feel as stressed about it now. I am eating a larger variety of things. Was stuck at only 125 down for about 2 weeks! Ugh! I did get sick last week just by having two bites of something I shouldn't (darn rebellious streak). But my hair is finally slowing down and not falling out hardly as much. I could have sworn I was going bald! Omg. Hope all of you ladies are doing well!

  3. Happy birthday Dorian!

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I have been feeling a little better today. Still laying around in bed but hopefully be up and moving tomorrow. Ended up with all kinds of medication and I was so proud to not be taking hardly anything after surgery so that kinda sucks.

My whole family has been eating waaaayyy healthier. No sodas or Snacks in the house except fruits and veggies, diet Decaf tea and some not-so-bad crackers. The kids are loving the fruit and veggies. My hubby has lost about 15lbs in the last couple of weeks. He is doing a weight loss challenge at work. Of course my inlaws do not understand how I am losing all this weight, they don't know about my surgery and think I'm on drugs. LMAO! They freaked out when my hubby turned down his Moms fried potatoes and spam. I was super impressed. Hope this lasts, it makes it easier.

  4. The last couple of days I have been in all kinds of pain. Since my surgery, my hormones are leveling out and the PCOS is starting to clear up some. Periods every month for the last 6 months. Unfortunately, on Thursday I was having some pains I thought were the left tummy pulled muscle or PMS but turned out to be a ruptured ovarian cyst. Needed all kinds of meds to get it under control and now I am still hurting and feel frustrated. Been laying around the last two days and just feel blah. I feel bad I ate a little tiny bowl of Cereal but haven't had hardly any carbs since the end of February but gave in tonight. Hopefully tomorrow is better.

  5. I finally hit 120lbs lost!!! Omg! I started in a size 30/32, and today I put on an 18 and it fit!!! I haven't been really exercising routinely but soooo much more active. I can't do the shakes much, they make me sick. Don't know if it is psychological or what. My hair is just everywhere but on my head! I had really long, thick hair and it has gone way flat and I had to cut it. I was worried the weight of it would cause me to lose more. I freak out every time I see the bathroom floor or the towel after I dry my hair. Ugh!

  6. Wow! What is your secret lol is that all since surgery or did you lose before surgery as well ....I wanna lose 70lbs in 3 months too lol

I started losing weight 2 months before surgery. I lost about 39 lbs before. But have just been really sticking to the smaller portions but have been trying little bites of things. Not really any secret, just hardly any carbs and a lot of seafood.

  7. Hi y'all!! Been a bit since I have been on. Just wanted to check in and see how everyone is doing. I am doing okay minus the insomnia. I have been feeling the hunger coming back in the last few days, which scares me but I guess is normal. I am down 114 lbs now. I can't believe it. I went from a size 30/32 to a 20 in jeans. Everyone in my house is now on a health kick because it was just too hard to do it alone. I craved the bad food everyone was eating. I started showing the people I live with how much they were really eating and they finally understand. I still have some left incision pain now and then. I am so happy with my results up until now. The one thing I want to do more is exercise because I haven't really done that too much. I did in the beginning but not really had much time in the last 5 weeks or so. I have been more actively going out and meeting up with my friends to get me out of the house more since I work from home. I did try an 'adult beverage' and didn't dump, it was my 34th birthday. I even had two bites of scalloped potatoes tonight, no dump. I am still mostly just eating meat and salad. I have a really bad time with grilled pork or chicken but still love seafood and Turkey chili. I am still suffering from insomnia really badly but I think it is just related to the other stressors in my life right now. I am going thru my closet this week and getting rid of all of my "comfort" clothes that I have been hanging on to just in case. Even my shoes don't fit anymore. I am so proud of this group! We are a tough bunch!

  8. It hasn't even been 4 months ...107lbs is PHENOMENAL! How much did you want to lose in that time frame ? Just curious ...I would be jumping for joy ..lol

Awww thank you! I am feeling better about it this week because I fit into a size 20 clothes from a 32!!!! I started crying in the dressing room. I am happy with my loss, I just tend to want more. I am hoping to lose another 70 within the next 3 months. HOPING... Lol!

  9. Was discharged yesterday.I either have atypical migraines' date=' which they are treating with gabapentin (yuck), or all this is as a result of my bypass, which I had in 2000, being blocked....I see a vascular specialist at a the university hospital where I originally had the bypass Tuesday...my graft is 70% occluded...not good. I insisted on going back to the Medical College ...I was done with the hospital for now. The food situation at the hospital was terrible...finally just brought in my own Protein. Ah well.[/quote']

I am a MAJOR Migraine sufferer as well. Gaba didn't help me at all. The only thing that worked for me was Fiorcet. It is not a narcotic and it really helps in about 30 minutes. Just wanted to share that.

  10. Hey everyone! I am so proud of all of the progress we have all made. I started at 396, and am currently at 288... that is a 107# loss!!! Woooo hoooo!!!! I really need to exercise more though, I am getting lazy. Also, I am losing hair soooooo fast! It is scary. I can't wait for 250! Down from a 30/32 to loose in a 22 now. I am Sooo happy that things are going well for everyone. :-)
