  1. Hey everyone first day home from the hospital. Overall I feel good but I'm having a hard time getting my Protein in Its taken me several hrs. to drink one protein drink then I feel bloated and nauseous for along time afterwards. Does anyone have any suggestions? Please help.

Make sure your walking around too to get the gas out. It could be too much Fluid too fast on top of being pumped up w surgery gases

  2. Wow keep me posted on what is going on! Thats some serious stuff but if you have a great trusted surgeon that can help, it may be worth it. Great job on the weight! I can't get to onderland for the life of me! Was 200.3 on Sunday and today was 203.4. I just don't get it and it's frustrating at hell! I know I'm retaining some Water cuz I wake up puffy. Want to head out for a good walk but leg is hurting so bad today. Frustrating beyond belief but I keep hanging in there! Good luck April friends!! Love you all!

Dorian it's crazy how similar out journey has been. I too am stuck at 200. One day up to 202 next 200. I keep telling my husband I don't care if I get stuck at 199 forever. I just wanna see a 1!

  3. I had my gallbladder removed before I had bypass. My pain was all on the right side, just under the ribcage. It was a constant aching, but when I ate it was a sharp pain that made me feel like I couldn't breathe! Some people get the pain into their back area too. Get it checked out if you aren't sure! My son waited and ended up in the hospital for days with a diseased yucky gallbladder!

Thanks!!! I'm def gonna look into it but my pain is lower than that.

  4. Thought I'd post some progress pics. I'm down 84lbs since surgery. I stall for months at a time but am dedicated to the workouts so I'm hoping it's bc muscle weighs more than fat. Plus I'm huge in the tatas area and have a lot of extra skin going on in the gut area. So one of my questions at my year check up is if he can measure/weigh that skin. I think it's a significant amount which would put me closer to goal!

Glad to see everyone is doing well. And hope those that are having some troubles find the answers they are looking for.

  5. Walk walk walk. The only way the gas is going to get out is y moving. As for the pain. They did a lot of work in there it was about 3 weeks before u could move without a slight wince when in bed. Don't worry. Almost a year out sometimes I can still feel it in that spot on the left.

    * I don't mean walk a marathon lol just get up and move around I did laps in the hallway

  7. I also have T25....but I am only one week post op today. Lol

I just ordered the 21 day fix from the same company after trying a workout. It's awesome! I love these programs

  8. Well today is a GREAT day! The scale finally moved downward for me! Was stuck at 208-210 for weeks. Today was at 205!!!! Only six more pounds until ONDERLAND!! I'm beginning to realize that if I whine about being stuck for long enough, the scale will move! LOL. ;)

I don't post much but I follow you bc we seem to be on the same track. I've been stuck on 208-210 for about two months. Idk what in doing wrong just downright frustrated. But seeing u unstuck gives me a ill hope. Lol. Congrats

  9. I have no idea when I will have surgery at this point. My psych eval is Thursday. I see my PCP the 21st. And then we go from there. I'm looking forward to a new life! (:

I went in taking 2 shots of 34 units of lantus a day and 3 shots of 17 units of apidra on at each meal. Also 2000mg of metformin.

I came home taking One shot of lantus in the am if my sugars were over 90. I took 3 of those shots and 2.5 weeks after surgery my doctor took me off everything. I rarely see a day over 80 at wake up. I was 288 lbs had been diabetic for 10 years. Mom and grandmom aunt and great grandmom all diabetic.

Everyone's body is different. For me diabetes was standing in my way of having children and carrying a pregnancy to term. In 6 months I will get the go ahead from my doctor to try getting pregnant again. My family doctor and obgyn urged me to have this surgery my only regret was not listening to them sooner than I did.

    Good luck to everyone.

Surgery date 4/29/13. Down only 80lbs but serious inches and up in self esteem motivation and happiness. To me that's worth it.

Gray dress two months pre op. Black dress 7 months post op.

  10. I just started doing it and the p90x. It's not bad. If you need to you can modify. Like I can't get off the ground or down into the ground. Atleast not nearly as quick as they do so I modify.

The key is keeping your form and you'll feel it. I really like it

  11. Looked for tall jeans at the mall yesterday...two people sent me to xpress, and they only go to size 12. Didn't go there, but it was nice that people thought I would fit in a size twelve skinny jean. In April, I wore a 22/24! By the way, does anyone know where to get tall jeans? At least Lane Bryant had those. When I was thin before, I wore lee jeans, but I can't find tall ones except online. I guess I'll have to try one short ones for fit, and then order the tall ones online. Wish I could go to goodwill...this is expensive.

    Try old navy
