    Help! Adult acne!

My face broke out horribly and I am 47. Saw a dermatologist who told me it was rosacea. Took about 6 weeks to get rid of it but now finally back to normal. Btw, I'm 3-1/2 months out.
  6. Praying for you that your health turns around for the better very very soon.
  7. I only need to get in 64 gr protein in per day and I find that hard. You sure about the 100 grams???
  8. I like a glass of Unsweetened Almond Milk in the morning! Vitamin water is really good too, just make sure it's says ZERO on it or you'll find yourself in trouble.
  9. For me, I think it was the 3rd week that I stalled the first time. I'm only 3 months out and have stalled a few times. A week at the most and then BAM, weight starts coming off again. Don't get discouraged, It'll come off. I had my surgery on 5/15/13 and am down 66 pounds. Good luck to you!!

    Stuck... again!

I'm almost 11 weeks out and this happened starter happening on a frequent basis (daily) at about 7 weeks. Everything was getting stuck (solids, meds). My surgeon said sometimes at about 6 weeks your estophogas can swell . He suggested that I revert back to a liquid diet for a week, purées for a few days, then softs, then solids. For the most part, it worked. I still have the occasional "stuck", but it is a whole lot better.

    MAY 2013 POST-OP GROUP

Hi All....me again. Just checking in. Hope all is well with everyone. Me, I'm having a heck of a time. About 3 weeks ago, everything kept getting stuck. Doesn't matter how much I chew or how small the pieces are, the food gets stuck. Called my dr. last week, and was told that sometimes at 6 weeks, the esophagus sometimes swells from the inside (I also have Barrett's). He put me on a liquid diet which I've been on for a week which includes mostly just water and protein shakes. Was told to slowly go back to eating beginning with puree for a few days, then soft foods, then solids. I already know I'm going to have a problem as my pills/vitamins get stuck going down and only way to get out is to throw them back up. It is frustrating. He advised me that if the food continues to get stuck after this, then they will have to stretch the esophagus. My blood sugar also keeps dropping very low to a point where I get dizzy, lightheaded, etc. I'm 9 weeks out and down 53 pounds which I am very excited about. But, honestly, I didn't expect this. I'm hoping it's just a small hurdle in the road and once it's fix, it's fixed and I can get back on track.

    Where was your IV ?

Mine was on the bend of my right arm on the opposite side of my elbow. Was the only vein they could find. What a pain in the butt it was, every time I bent my arm in the hospital it would cut flow of the IV and the darn thing would BEEP. Made for 2 horrible nights.
