  1. I had band to GB revision 2 years ago. Best thing I ever did. So much discomfort with the band absolutely none with GB after initial surgery. Keep us posted.
  2. Thanks everyone for your input. I have been drinking more water, eating more fruit and trying to eat slower. this does all seem to help. Thank you all.
  3. Thanks John, I will definitely try walking. I do eat way too fast. My parents said eating too fast came from having 6 brothers and sisters. If I didn't eat fast I didn't seconds :-))
  4. Great idea about the fabreeze for the loo. I knew about all the above. Didn't believe number #1 but found out it's all true but worth it.
  5. My Endo prescribes calcium To me since I had thyroid cancer nearly a year after RNY. You could try the Bariatric chews.
  6. I had surgery in August 2013. A RNY after failed Lap Band. I've noticed recently food getting stuck. I get pain all over my stomach and the only relief is to drink lots of fluid hurry to the restroom and bring it back up (vomit). Haven't had time for the DR. I've also noticed in past month, my bowels aren't moving daily. Maybe every 2 days. This is all relatively new symptoms. Anyone else have similar symptoms or suggestions.

  8. Finally out of the stall, down 2 this week! I just found out last week I have Thyroid Cancer. The weight loss might be due to worry. I know the swimming is helping with inches. Good Luck everyone.
  9. Corn beef and cabbage with carrots and celery. A Light Rye Bread, 1 small slice with I cant believe its not butter. I used a recipe that called for Guiness Beer and Brown suger. I skipped the brown suger and used a little Stevia.
  10. Thanks for the information seriousaboutme, I am sure my allergy problem is related to new pillows and a new "Bed in a Bag". It is such a pretty ensemble but I will have to pack it away. Aside from this little issue I am completely pleased with how I feel. I am doing a bit of weight lifting and swimming at the Y. I am a band to RNY and a slow loser. My surgery was 8/22 and I have gone from 259 to 196.5. 5 months and 7 days and down 62.5 pounds. I have been at a stall for some time and I have been losing a huge amount of hair. It is noticeable to me. My concerns are mild and thanking God for the weight loss so far. Good luck to all the August RNY peeps. I would love to hear how you are all doing.
  11. Congratulations Kloveburd. Can any of you tell me if we are allowed to take Benadryl Allergy medicine? If not which allergy medicine do you take? My allergies are in overdrive and I am having trouble sleeping.
  12. I had a Realize Band as well. The band slipped about 8 months in to the top of my stomach causing the stomach to prolapse. I had the band removed and had RNY a year later. I believe I am a slower loser. I had RNY surgery 8/22/2013 and have lost 64 pounds to date. I have had no trouble at all with the RNY. I wish in hindsight I had RNY first. Live and learn I guess. I can eat pretty much what ever I want but I have to chew, chew, chew. Good luck in your Weight loss journey and we are all here if you need us.

  20. You guys crack me up. I can't believe I haven't awaken to find my husband on the floor where I blew him out of bed. My farts are so powerful. One thing I've noticed the smaller my but gets the less loud they are. Unless of course I am in a public toilet then they ricochet and echo off the walls. I say we rule the world one fart at a time:)
  21. You look amazing. You figure is fantastic. Keep up the good work. This is very motivating. Happy New Year to you!
