    Vertigo is a terrible thing. One thing that you can take to help with the symptoms and is over the counter is meclizine - a motion sickness pill. Ask at the pharmacy for it - it is readily available and cheap. Best of luck - this pill was magic when I had vertigo.

    That's the meds they gave me. Been helping a lot! They've also offered me a patch too? Have you had any experience with one of those?

    I have my follow up for labs tomorrow. Hopefully they are all ok :) Labs were the first thing I thought about when this happened. :)

    Sounds like something I had a couple of years ago. It was from sinus and ear Fluid. Probably not from surgery' date=' just bad timing. Every time I riled over in bed I got the spins and I'd be walking down the hall at work and walk right into the wall. Took about 6 weeks to resolve completely.[/quote']

    The doctor old me 4-6 weeks for recovery. Hopefully it will be gone by then because we have a vacation in Mexico in 6 weeks!

    I have had this for years thought it was ear infection' date=' then they said depression, or my blood pressure pills, had all kinds of tests. They thought I was nuts. I now feel its my sinuses and I treat it that wAy. It goes away eventually I just don't get so upset anymore. It always subsides. I'd get dull headaches in front of forehead and not mode wasn't blocked . It's way deep in my sinuses. Maybe this may help you. Good luck I know it's scarey.[/quote']

    Very scary indeed! I also get the headaches in the front of my forehead. Doing the exercises the dr gave me to try and help it go away. As well as the medicine to take.

    Hmmm Xanax? I'll ask them about it Wednesday, thanks. They did give me a medicine to take every six hours as well as some exercises to do three times a day. Plus she was really nice and upped my dose of anti nausea meds to deal with that as well, since that is now preventing me from eating much. Thanks for the advice guys. I love these boards for that reason!

    Sorry I meant to put that in there....not dehydrated. Getting in 70-80ozs daily. Urine color is almost clear. I have previously had problems with my potassium levels. I also normally eat less than 25 carbs daily. I am getting in 80-90 grams Protein daily.

    I have made an appt with a pcp...just not my normal one.

    Just looking for feedback if I should call my surgeon or pcp. This weekend I have had terrible dizziness with vertigo and a headache in my forehead that won't go away. It started Saturday morning and I actually was in a store and had to grab onto something to keep from falling! The dizziness is especially bad when I first lie down, or move arouNd while lying down, or get up from a lying or sitting position. Just wondering if this could be associated with the surgery. I had rny on 3/14.

    I had to do lots of cat scans after surgery due to a leak. Also had one about 6 weeks post op, for the leak as well. they gave me a clear liquid type to drink. I just told them I had rny so they didn't make me drink a lot of it. It did however make me dump every time I had it. :/ good luck with yours.

    I had a vacation planned two weeks after surgery. I happened to be one of the 1% or so that had a leak. I ended up back in the hospital for 16 days and had to cancel my vacation. I would play it by ear if you can since you have travel insurance. Congratulations on your ten year anniversary! I hope you enjoy your vacation whenever you may go! :)

    I do one Protein shake (usually in the morning) with 8 oz of milk' date=' and that usually adds up to about 30 g of Protein, then one container of Fage 0% plain with some sugar free Syrup mixed in which is 18 grams. That makes 48 grams total and the rest is easy to get in with your meals. :)[/quote']

    I am getting so tired of this Plateau!! I gym' date=' try make sure I am not deviating from the diet. I just cannot break past 38lbs lost so far. I am getting frustrated.

    I just broke past mine after three weeks of no loss! Had to up my Protein and liquids and it finally happened. Good luck to you. You will be past it soon.
