  3. So im six weeks post op..fown 21 lbs..lost 10 prior to surgery. ..surgery weight 229 current weight 208..average weight loss per week 3.5 ..now I am happy to have lost but I was under the impression that weight loss per week would be much more than that.I read some threads on here and I read about 30 to 40 lbs. Lost per month...wonder if im doing something wrong
  4. I know how you feel! I have been married for 7 years but together for 13. Three years ago I felt the same way you are feeling right now. We however have a son. I kept feeling miserable and not knowing how to get out of it (marriage)..I tried speaking to him but really wasn't getting anywhere. It made things worse. He ended up moving out but within a month or two we realized that we needed eachother and truly loved eachother ..so we started going to counseling. .still lived apart but it worked! Sometimes our own insecurities, feelings of not being appreciated or understood are just part of who we are as women. Men are guided by their brains and women are guided by their heart. That is really important to understand when being in a relationship. Some men can be pretty clueless as to what their spouse's feel or need. Don't blame him for not understanding you right now if u feel u cant communicate your feelings to him.Let him in! Let him know what u want and need from him but also listen to what he wants and needs from u. Marriage is a beautiful thing. Don't let it get ugly..I can see by the way u express yourself that u do love him...im sure he loves u too. Im sure u will find yourself soon...and he will be there by your side when you do!
  5. Maybe its all in my head but I started the regular foods stage (fruits/veggie/whole wheat bread. .etc. .) And even though im doing things by the book I keep thinking that eating those foods along with my protein it will make me stop losing weight.
  6. I had horrible pain because of constipation landed me in the ER.. I had to take mom and colace...also I used a heating pad on my tummy ..it helped moved things along
  7. Im 6 weeks post op and have started getting a numbing feeling on my hands and wrists. ..has anyone else experience that??
  8. Mine has been on time but somewhat heavier than usual
  9. Hi..I am a month post op.First two weeks were hard as it is with any major surgery. I had severe pain and only once did I had a moment where I doubted my decision. It had absolutely nothing to fo with food. I have been pretty good when it comes to food..I don't miss it because i know that when im ready and able I will eventually have regular healthy food again. If you are 100% commited yo making a life change then go for it. Remember "we don't live to eat...we eat to live"... A healthy much happier you awaits!
  10. Had my surgery exactly a month ago am down 16 lbs. My highest weight was 239.8 surgery weight 229.4 Current weight 213.6 ..my goal is 140:)
  11. Was it the insurance or medical board?? Some insurance companies have a third party medical board that reviews cases and if they deny you it doesn't even get to the insurance company. ..find out and file a grievance. .do have your doc do what they can...best of luck!
  12. Mushy food...I was told cream of wheat and use non fat milk instead of water that ups yoyr calories. .also protein shakes I drink are 160 calories 30g. Of protein. .(premier) two a day is already half of the calories needed...

  19. I feel like im a "slow loser"..my starting weight was 239.8 surgery weight 229.4 I will be 3 weeks out and weight 217.8 ..between last two weigh ins not much difference compared to others Feeling a lil discouraged. My goal weight is 135 to 140...
  20. Omg..I actually am opposite of you..I had health net 3yrs ago and was referred to Pacific bariatric. .went to seminar in October and by December I was told I would be scscheduled for surgery in January. .did everything from pre op classes to all the testing required. .sadly the medical board denied me last minute despite my countless pages and pages of documented attempts to lose weight that spanned almost 10 years...fast forward to last year in April I am back with Kaiser and I was approved for the options program..had surgery 3weeks ago..Pacific bariatric I thought did good in terms of making you informed. .perhsps not as much as Kaiser but maybe things have changed I was under the care of Dr. Suh at the time...I was happy overall in the way things moved smoothly. .but unfortunately like I said getting approved last minute wsd an issue.
  21. You should get them checked out..they could get infected. ..make an appointment soon..
  22. Totally know what you mean. .I wasn't told about constipation and had the worst pain trying to go...I too ended up with hemorrhoids because of it...sadly I did end up in er because of a horrible pain on my side..dr thought it was due to pushing to hard..had I been told before leaving hospital to take stool softener and milk of magnesia..would have saved me from being stuck in the toilet for nearly an hour crying in pain. I take them every day and the milk of magnesia every other day plus fiber. .I do hope it gets better.don't want to depend on meds in order to poop...
