Omg...I have pain that feels like something is sure twisting inside...However ct scan came back clear...

Mine was about six days ..watery at first since you are on liquids only..however. .after that constipation will probably kick in and thats where you need to be prepared. .I learned the hard way how tough passing stool was ..had to call advice nurse and they recommended milk of magnesia plus stool softner...wish they would have told me that before I left hospital and not after I spent nearly 1hr in the toilet with excruciating pain....perhaps you can start taking it now...

How soon after surgery can you start wearing shapewear? Im on my 3rd week post op...

Shakes count as liquid intake. ..I put protein mix in my water also..getting my protein plus liquids at same Time. .

Im 2 weeks post op..400 calories and I do meet my protein intake. .if you are not lactose intolerant..couldn't you mix protein with non fat milk??? That should up your calories...

I read gall bladder issues come up a lot on here. .my dr gave me meds to prevent gall stones ..I have to take for 6mos. Did anyone who had gall bladder problems after surgery ..did you not take meds?.do the meds work...?

had to tell my clients I was taking time off to deal with personal matters..will resume scheduling cake orders in about 4 to 6 weeks. ..enuf said!

You need to go asap..don't take anything that wasn't prescribed to you..could make you sick...the sooner you get medical care betters your chances for any future lawsuits..there clearly was some medical negligence the moment they decided to discharge you so soon after your surgery. If you need to wait few hours at er as much as you hate it..it is necessary. .you can also call 911 get ambulance to take you in to insure there is less harm done to you getting in and out of car...im 2 weeks post op and I still hurt getting in and out of my car...don't hesitate. .get proper medical care..

Btw..I don't get hungry feeling either..ever!..I guess that's good!

So today I started pureed foods..my plan said 1/4 cup eggwhite scrambled for breakfast. .had that n did fine digesting..did not feel full but just ate that amount.. Lunch 2oz tuna w/ teaspoon of light mayo. . Ate that with no problem. .. Question do you eat and not get full feeling? Im 2weeks post op..afraid I might overdue it and not know it

I heard biotin and look into nioxin shampoo treatment for hair loss

#1...Have your husband take you to ER...#2..then have him call your insurance member service department file a grievance #3. Get a lawyer this is so upsetting to me...I told my dr. If he couldn't do laparoscopic surgery then cancel surgery. ..clearly someone is not doing there job at this hospital. ..wish you the best!

I had rny 2weeks ago...hubby will be getting sleeve on 2/11 im having slow weight loss plus still in a lot of pain. Im sure he will lose twice as much weight once he is post op and perhaps deal with his pain better than me...any advice you can give me as to how to help him while im still in recovery and not see this as a competition between us...im afraid I may get bitter seeing him lose so much weight in a shorter amount of time...

My stay was overnight..surgery on Wednesday. .discharged on Thursday :/

Im 2weeks post op and I got my rny through Kaiser Permanente. Had to do a 6 mos program 12 classes total one of which talked about the "reasons" we over eat...they offer counseling/dietician/support group for 1 1/2 year post op...to help us through these struggles. ..do you have anything similar to this offered to you? ? Sometimes emotional issues can make us eat...perhaps might help you to seek counseling perhaps go to a support group in your area. ..just a thought.

Try heating pad...and rest...I have severe left back pain doc said it was muscle pain...im 13 days post op

Don't feel discouraged my Starting weight was 239.4 Surgery weight was 229.4 on 1/16 2 weeks post op (today) 222.7 Surgeon said it was ok...not everyone loses same amounts in first months...also consider you have been through a lot..your body is adjusting. .my doc said to not dwell on the 8 pounds lost after surgery...17 lbs.total loss

Thanks...landed at er yesterday with severe pain ct scan came back clear...doc said could be from straining. ..today have spent most of my day in restroom started taking miralax last night when I got home..how long before it kicks in???

Im 10 days post op...severe constipation ..I think I may have hemorrhoids. ..did anyone go through this??? How did you cope? ?

Has anyone experienced this so early out of surgery. .10 days post op and got the worst constipation ever :'( now I got to deal with hemorrhoids. ..doctor didn't say this could happen. ...

Mine comes on out of nowhere..its mostly on my lower back on left side...I do hope its not kidneys. .I think its too early to have kidney problems..im just a week out :/ I have my 1st follow up this upcoming Tuesday. .we'll See what doc says...

So im one week post op...started getting sharp pain on my left side ...pain wraps aroun front yo back. ..is it normal???

Im eight days post op..first 4 was on clear liquids. Now till follow up appt..have to be on full liquids. .cream of wheat (very runny) protein shakes..sugar free chocolate pudding. .sugar free jello...and I drink nectar..protein mixed with water...and sips clear water in between. .im hoping doc lets me start on soft foods next week
