Oh that would be great to get a surgeon to help get it approved for insurance!! Only thing is that I need a Tummy Tuck, legs, arms, and breast done. That is going to be lots of money!!! :-(

My uncle was over 400lbs before he started.. After his 2 year mark he had skin removal done and over his stomach' date=' arms, and legs, they removed 27lbs![/quote']Wow!!!! So at 189lbs should I start consultations with plastic surgeons?

I would love to find others in my area so we can help support each other.

Definitely yoga!!! You can try some light 3-5 lb weight exercises at home. I bought some Biggest Loser dvds and used those at home with weights until I was ready to get into the gym. I now use all weight training machines and cables at the gym. I love it, but definitely start light!

My mom had the extra skin removed and it weighted 17 lbs but that's total: arms' date=' tights, and stomach at 180• they just pulled the front and tucked.Crazy. Her insurance paid the tummy part since she did have skin irritants
Surgery date 7/25/12[/quote']
That's great that insurance helped pay for it!! I bet she looks wonderful! 17lbs of skin...wow!

On one of the YouTube videos I watched a girl said they took almost twenty pounds of skin off. I would think it depends a lot on how heavy you were and for how long' date=' and how much elasticity you have left in your skin. Some people bounce back amazingly well from some of the pictures I've seen here. :-)[/quote']Wow...20lbs!!!!

Thank you everyone. I do have some rashes develop under my tummy hangy part. I usually put deodorant there and it seems to be ok. I have taken pictures incase insurance would help out. Another thing that drives me crazy is my arms. I can feel the muscles getting better but I can't see the results because of the saggy skin. I do however feel better about myself. I started my journey at 330 lbs and now 2 years later I weigh 189. I am still aiming to weigh 150. I wonder how much the extra skin weighs??

Also....sometimes the number on the scale isn't moving, but as long as you are exercising your measurements are getting smaller so don't beat yourself up with the scale. Stay focused and keep up the good work and congrats on your new tool!!!

I LOVE Planet Fitness!!! No one judges there so I feel very comfortable doing everything. They have free unlimited training too so you can have your very own fitness trainer whenever you need help and extra motivation. I love the advanced equipment they have there also.

Not to even mention that we need these peopl for support.

It is basically what everyone is stating....people are jealous...even the skinner friends of mine! People are harsh!

I heard on another forum that eating the minimum required to required calories daily' date=' whether by Protein shakes/and-or food, is how the weight comes off faster...... Exercise adds even more.....
Your body being in starvation mode=holding on to all food taken in as fat stores, until you get your body to recognize that it is being fed regularly again.....[/quote']
I am 2 years post op and I gained 20lbs back. I got myself back on track and lost 11lbs in 3 weeks. It gets harder and you have to work harder so you don't gain. Sometimes the body goes into shock and will cause a stall in weight loss, but DO NOT get discouraged because it will come off if you work hard!

How does it feel to be in "onederland? "
It feels wonderful!!! I haven't been in the 100s since middle school!! A huge smile was brought to my face and I was jumping up and down! I am excited to get to my goal...it may take awhile.... and I may start researching some plastic surgery.

2 years ago I made an important decision that would change my life forever! I had my RNY gastric bypass 2 years exactly from today. Best thing I could have ever done. I have lost 130lbs and my health is so much better. I can keep up with my 7 year old! I am so happy, but it is getting harder now, but I know what I need to do and stop getting lazy and discouraged!! This is a great journey and I wish the best for everyone!

I am 2 years post op and have hit many stalls along the way. I suggest the 5 day pouch test and push yourself into calorie burning zone in workouts. Cals in...cals out! It is normal and it will change. Things take time, but don't get discouraged...you can do it!!

That is amazing! Congrats!! Great job!!!

Yes, for example on myfitnesspal it says that I should consume 1200 calories and 150grams of carbs. After I do cardio it says I should consume even more calories. I feel like that is way too much! I always get my Protein in, but never get my calories. I feel like 150grams of carbs is way too high even if they are "good" carbs. My Protein Powder and skim milk already adds 60grams of carbs. What can I do different? I am tired of the weight loss stall!!

Do you consider "good carbs" such as apples, bananas, milk, etc...into the fraction??

I have been told that the max Protein we need take in is 140grams, but what is the max carb intake for us to continue losing weight? I am 2 years out...getting in lots of protein average 115grams, Water, and excercise, but still at a stall and jumping up and down the scale. I think it could be my carb intake because I stay under 1200 calories everyday. Also, a lot of my carbs are coming from fruit and healthy food. I am so confused!

I am 2 years out and I can eat pretty much anything now. I would not recommend Pasta and rice often because carbs can cause regain quickly!

I am 2 years post op and I drink a cup of coffee every morning. I put a scoop of chocolate flavored Protein Powder, splenda, and skim milk. It helps get my Protein in and I enjoy the taste of my coffee in a healthier way!
