  5. People say papaya enzymes work great for getting things unstuck. I think you can get em at the drug store.
  6. I'm sure you didn't hurt anything with the avocado. I know how hard it is to stay on liquids. I'm starting my second week post op of all clear liquids and I want to pull my hair out! Just do your best to stick to the plan.
  7. Thanks for asking, Mel! I'm really doing very well. I was able to stop taking my pain meds yesterday. I still have a tiny amount of abdominal discomfort, but it's very manageable. I am struggling with the clear liquid diet though. I am so sick of broth!!! And I have another week to go on clears unfortunately. I have no trouble drinking my 64 oz. daily though.

  11. I have still have mild pain without my pain meds. I've been cutting back on them cause I need to drive myself on Tuesday. It gets better every day.
  12. For each "meal" of the day, I have 8oz of protein drink (isopure), and then a 16 oz bottle of water or crystal light. I make sure to finish both before the next meal time. You'll end up with 72 oz with breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  13. They check for leaks during the surgery. They fill your new pouch with air, then put some saline solution in your belly and press the pouch under the liquid to see if any bubbles escape. No bubbles = no leaks I've seen many people complain of nausea. You should let your doctor know and he can prescribe you some meds for it (Zofran).

  15. When I'm allowed I'll be having Syntrax matrix Strawberry Cream protein. I never get sick of it!
