  1. Congrats!!!! I wish they would've let me do that!
  2. Milk can be counted, as well as tea
  3. I scheduled a follow up Friday, but I'm going to try to go to the surgeons office right after that and if there are any issues they'll hear about it. I've done everything, even got my approval letter, the only thing holding me up is this butthead.
  4. Surgeons office just called me. I had cancelled the follow up appointment for the weight loss pills the idiot cardiologist put me on, and apparently he won't clear me for surgery until I go! I very severely dislike this cardiologist. I don't trust him at all, and I'm being forced to constantly go back to him because he keeps scheduling more stuff and then a follow up with him. This better be the last appointment. I can barely stomach going to him again.
  5. I guess I could eliminate the ICE line to add more info. I already have emergency contact info in my phone and on my health care proxy.
  6. I guess I could put it this way: Name Gastric Bypass RNY No blind NG tube No NSAIDS/penicillin ICE
  7. I don't think I can fit all my info on one lol
  8. Mine was an EKG, an ECHO, a pulmonary function test, a pneumonia shot, and a blood gas test. But it probably depends on the doctor.
  9. Congrats!!! How did you get your date? I got my approval letter a few days ago but they haven't called to schedule me yet.
  10. I mix a scoop of vanilla protein powder with a tablespoon or two of SF instant pistachio pudding mix with skim milk and a tablespoon of plain Greek yogurt. It's delicious.
  11. The deciding factor for me was that there aren't really any long term results recorded yet because its still so new.
  12. I was previously on the pill. I'm hoping to switch to Depo after surgery.
  13. What should I pack/not pack for the hospital? Also, what should I have on hand when I get home? I know all the Vitamins. Water isn't a problem as I work for a water company lol. I also know about the papaya enzyme. What's recommended for the acid reflux? And is there anything else I may want to have on hand?
  14. Where can I find this? I had never heard of it before I joined this board, but apparently it's a necessity. I couldn't find it at the grocery store.
  15. My nutritionist recommended using milk for the extra protein and it also counts towards your liquids.
  16. Thank you!!! I still can't believe it.
  17. Came home from a weekend at my boyfriends house to find this waiting for me.
  18. Really! Maybe I'll call them if I don't hear in the next few days.
  19. It's been about 2 weeks or so since I was submitted to the insurance company. Still waiting to hear. This is horrendous. My poor boyfriend has been dealing with me being an emotional, stressed-out wreck. I really need an approval soon before I end up single LOL
  20. The good thing about mine was I paid it the first time I was in the program, and they didn't make me pay again when I restarted.
  21. My program has a $500 fee. What it's for is all the supplies for the workshop, as well as unlimited support groups for life. There used to be a charge to attend the groups, now they have the one time program fee and that's it.
  22. They've been the cause of quite a few Bach aches lol
  23. My boyfriend is the same way. He's very supportive, but it's a touchy subject for him. He's worried about all the things that could happen. It's good that they worry, it shows that they love you
  24. I'm starting at a 46DDD (the size my bra is, though the person that measured me said I should wear a 52H) and I hope I lose some, but not TOO much. I don't want smaller than a D or DD.
