  1. from what I know anyone with complications, 500 cal is good especially if you are not working out! it is based on calories in and calories out so if you are not able to work out do not focus on what you are cosuming calorie wise so much. I have had complications as well cant work out my surgeon said focus on min 500 calories, Water intake to avoid dehydration and Protein shake to get Protein in and try to advance on the days you feel up to it , but when your constantly naseoues.and feeling ill its hard so I empathize with you guys!

  2. Thank you everyone for your ideas and support. I did write the letter and put it in my jewlery box. I then got my nails done and bought a food scale for when I am on solid foods. Sort of as a reminder that I am a new person and I am only getting better! Thank you again.

good for you, I am glad you the suggestions worked for you ;) ! Those scales are the best!

  4. Very curious! My sister had the VSG' date=' and I have the RNY. We were talking today about who is MORE at risk of stretching....rny patients or sleeve patients? Anyone want to guess on this one? I think it would make more sense for a pouch to stretch rather than a sleeve, but I could be wrong![/quote']

After researching the best surgery to undergo for medication absorption due to an autoimmune disorder and longevity for surgery weight loss, studies show stretching is based on the person and how you follow the program, if you eat all the wrong foods , amounts, that would stretch your pouch or sleeve, such as pop, carbonated beverages, starches, fried, drink with straws both are bound to stretch in the long run.....however very very hard to achieve, it's weight gain is usually due to eating the wrong.foods high calorie beverages, and no excercise, so getting back to basics usually gets your tool back into shape.

  5. I thought the same thing, especially since one day I can stomach one thing , thee next day I can not , so I have half eaten things all over the place, feel bad and wasteful! I do not see a solution to this at all :(..... my kitties are not fans of human food.< /p>

  6. I honestly have bad experience with outside food. I can say I didn't have a problem with taco bell the small nachos with meat. I'm afraid of eating it again simply cuz one day everything the next it won't agree with me. I can't eat Chinese food anymore. Sometimes a slice of pizza I can deal with other times I can't. I have to really want it. Also your new with your pouch. I'm almost 8 months. Boy have I learn my lesson.

Good luck and don't have fried food.

wow 8 months out and still having those problems, I thought it was me because I was fresh out and getting adjusted! good to know that still happens later on ! thanks for the tip!

  7. So' date=' I was thinking, how fun would it be to have a monthly pen pal? Someone new each month to send a box of goodies or things that you have found helpful. It is something that I have been thinking about for sometime now and would like to get started. There would of course be a spending limit and some general rules but I wanted to get a feel as to if anyone would be interested in participating.

If you are interested reply with an email that I could send you more info to. I would love to get this started!!

    I[/quote']

  8. I bought a few new pieces....not many. I am still losing....I want to lose 125 more pounds. I am only a little over 5 months out. I want to be at my goal by Oct 6th this year (my birthday). I am at a stupid stall right now....little mad cause I wanna move on down!

This is a great goal, my birthday is Nov 29 I would love the same thing but am plagued with complications thought now so its a slow crawl, I have been here before and yo-yo d and swore never again and gave away my clothes and ended up having to buy more scrubs (medical field) and dress clothing because I switched positions so now I have tubs of clothing I cant seem to let go because of what if ? scared to shell out that much money again but I should be saying I will never be that over weight again!!

  10. Hi' date=' I to have had problems and you just feel so negative, it's hard to be positive when you feel so ill... All I can say for sure is...for now, let family and friends be positive for you and just concentrate on getting through it don't feel like a burden as you would do exactly the same for them if they were in your situation take each day as it comes otherwise you will feel overcome with it as that's why most of us choose the path of WLS. So you will get through this it's pretty crappy at the moment but your time to shine WILL come I promise just get through is as best you can, lots of love and we will be positive for you x[/quote']

Thank you the procedure failed, I can t keep anything down , liquids are forced. some blood coming through jp tube, talked to surgeon today they will see if gi will do a stent asap and if blood or pain increases I am to go to the er! I know there are some people who are having a really rough time ,.or worse.complications, just trying to stay positive and contend with this and now my autoimmune disorder which has decided to come on full force! Just gotta stay strong
