this is wonderful news for you if you decide to get the surgery, the only advice is find a sturgeon who can fix things if things go wrong after the surgery such as leaks, tears, etc. since things can happen yet if your on prednisone chronically or biologics the likelihood is much higher. I have Still's disease and have been on prednisone for three years, gained so much weight from the prednisone and lack of joint usage.I actually just had to have another burst because I have been off my orencia since before the beginning Of Dec I had managed to keep it to 16 mg but right now full of complications so I flared bad. So far down a total 51 lbs so any weight helps off the joints. Even with all the complications and slow weight loss I would do it again! I am hoping by the summer to have more mobility be off the prednisone or very minimal dose and be.down quite a bit more so good luck !

  6. Yeah! That's scary! I hope they get everything fixed for you! It's awful having any kind of complications after this cause the diet and taking pills and eating on time' date=' etc is complicated enough!! Saying a prayer you heal quickly and have no more issues!![/quote']

so my jp has had bright red blood and everything I have been eating has been.coming back up or not sitting well though my prednisone intake is making me a cookie monster with the hunger lol so I'm thing back in tomorrow for another egd but hoping they.finally pull the jp so done with the blood, drainage, pain,.want to be normal, not miss all the honeymoon stage get back to work ,be able to take my autoimmune meds, not so many pain meds and not keep going under for all these procedures, usually they do iv sedative, and the last two times have been completely under....which scares me! my body has been under so much since Dec I don't think it can take much more! Just hoping this is it.......

  7. I noticed I do not sweat anymore. I go pee about 3-4 times a day. I drink around 40 oz. and no UTI (knock on wood). In all the books I have read or articles it seems that is the natural thing to do because of less food being broke down and liquid intake. Hippee I agree go see a doctor just to get it checked out.

isn't it wierd, I'm actually cold my hands and feet are frozen all the time! hot lemon Water, hot teas are my friends , wonder what the summer will be like!

  8. I had surgery on Monday' date=' Feb 18 and came home yesterday. The only pain I had was normal but it was intense. My surgeon said that was all normal, given I am sleeping longer and going longer without pain meds. Late last night and today I have been having some major back and shoulder pain. My heart is also racing a little bit. I called the nurse and she wants me to come and get some more blood work done and get evaluated. She said it could be just muscular or it could be a leak. I am so scared that something is wrong. The nurse actually wanted me to drive myself since my husband is at work. Called my husband and he is on his way to take me. Does anyone have any experience with this sort of pain and should I be worried?[/quote']

speaking from experience if they want you to go in please do , if for nothing just to rule out everything. it could be just bad gas, but as some who has been dealing with a fistula that will not close and a jp that pierced the abdomen wall, better safe than sorry! best of luck to you .

  9. I think you just have to find something you like / love and does not seem like a chore whether thats working out at a gym, doing a class or alone at.home for me, I love love zumba I used to love.going to.class but my joints slowed me down now that im loosing weight I got it for the wii and I am hoping as I lose weight I can start it up again and maybe get back to class again. However I am with Sammi , it would be nice to have an accountability partner or a workout partner makes it so much easier ;) good luck ladies!

  11. Prednisone among other things is what got me here....... I am having a severe flare of my autoimmune disorder and have.held off increasing my prednisone as long as possible, well increasing it and a few days I have seen my hunger increase almost by double, my calories have gone from around 400 to around 780 and I'm controlling myself. This is a concern because I can not work out very much right now due to complications and my autoimmune disorder, question any veterans encountered this prednisone use and how do you handle this how do you not give in to the increasing constant hunger, I have tried increasing fluids, adding unflavored Protein but the scale has slowed and I read someones post that their nut said we should not be consuming more than 500 calories if we are not working out post op ? I'm feeling lost so if any one has any insight please let me know

  12. Went through my closet again....this time it was MUCH easier to let go of those clothes lurking around that I wanted to keep "just in case"...... There will be NO just in case this time!! I am doing this weight loss and kickin butt!! No more fall back fat clothes!!

I tossed that bag of clothes right in the Goodwill bin and kept going! Feels so wonderful to be losing this weight for good!!

Good to hear others stories about letting go too!!

I have not been able to do this, my sweats keep falling off my butt, all I wear right.now are sweats because I'm on leave from work due to complications from surgery and my autoimmune disorder and I keep saying when I go back I will need to weed out...... but what if ahhhh scary don't want to ever spend that much money again on fat clothes it's expensive kudos to you

  13. Since being here I've had about 7-8 bags of Antibiotic IVs run thru me. Now on oral antibiotics' date=' yeah cuz I'm assuming might be discharged in a day or two. Yesterday one abscess was drained of 40CCs of Fluid which was going for testing. My dad and aunt said my coloring in my skin was like day and night from the day I was admitted at this hospital. (I guess Thursday I was ghostly and Friday my complexion was back :-) )

I have an ultrasound being performed later today on my kidneys. So far all good news. Also now most of the time I go to the bathroom it doesn't make me burst out in tears of pain. Just alittle pressure not pain. So yippee :-) Much improvement.

Yippee for everybody that had good news on Friday: Jodi on your great news on those ulcers :-) msixkiller and Teresa being taken off a lot of meds :-) Cyn's diagnosis for your reasons you've been nauseated and pain :-) Debbie for discovering the possible reason of NWL. That is great. So hopefully now it will drop very quickly :-) fingers crossed for you, lol.

I hope I didn't miss anyone who had great news to share :-D

    Gen :-) 12/15/12[/quote']

sharing in the good news with Gen, thank goodness the Dec group finally seems to be on the up and up at least when it comes to the complications of the surgery side, it's amazing to hear, see people.loosing weight, feeling better, exercisesing , crossing my fingers, toes, sending prayers, good.healing.vibes that everyone continues on this path as everyone deserves it ! have a wonderful so sunday everyone and I hope it's as pain free and carefree as it possibly can be !
