I had the lap band surgery about 5 years ago. I lost about 30lbs total. Had a baby 2 years later. Had lost about 20lbs after having the baby. I decided that it was time to go have a fill because saw myself heading the wrong way. Went to doctor on and off several times. Started to complain because I never felt full. I would ask if they are hitting port because they always seem to have trouble finding the port. Then finally decided to use the ultra sound. Still not full so I asked maybe it may have a hike. They never checked it for that nor wrote notes in my file. I switched to head surgeon and he was just as bad. He did use ultra sound and later determined that it must have a leak or something. Well decided to have RNY surgery but found out that he had not written any notes in my file and I was pissed. Switched to another surgeon and hospital . We found out that he had not written anything about me complying with the program in files. Pissed again had to go back and say a few words and visits so that he could write a letter for insurance.
Now I have an approval from BC/BS and a surgery date of Dec 17th 2012. I am so excited and ready to start this journey in my life. Starting my fast on tomorrow very nervous
