  1. Well surgery was on Monday. Started throwing up blood on Tuesday. Had another surgery on Thursday to get the correction. The surgeon said that my intestinal were narrow and he was having a hard time trying to make it fit as well as functional. So still in hospital...NPO...not sure what today will bring but I do feel a lot better...
  2. Thanks guys was a rough yesterday. Thru up blood and scared me to death I shook for about 10-15 mins. Will do the liquid test this morning.
  3. At the hospital really early this morning 5:10am. So ready to have this over with. Keep me in your prayers as I will be praying everyone too. Biggest losers here we come...Birmingham AL Dr. Schmitt
  4. I am having my surgery in the morning too. I'm having the band remove too and my 3 yr old is on my lap sleep now. So I do understand. We will be ok.
  5. Those on fast Chew gum and eat Popsicles. It's all in the mind so just keep telling yourselves that it is for your health and you don't want complications.
  6. I am excited and ready for it to be over. My day is Monday 17th. I am first that morning. I asked my doc about the abdominal binder and said just to tell them in the O R before being put out and they will give me one and put it on me. Dr .Schmitt at St.VincentE Birmingham AL

  8. You are so right. I am fasting and at work and its lunch time. Just have to stay at my desk. Chewing gum helps. All week I have cleaned and wash clothes or anything just to past the time. Can't seem to focus in work. Surgery Dec 17 2012
  9. Today is day 2 of my 1 week fast. I took a laxative last night and it kicked in early this morning. I just have keep myself eating 3 year old left over food. Had V8 this morning and feeling ok. Not sure how I will do while at work tomorrow . Any food suggestions
  10. I'm having my band taken out too. Please tell me everything. How Long you stayed in the hospital? Anything I should ask my surgeon or anything you think I should know. I am really nervous and excited. Thanks for any advice you can give.
  11. Well my birthday is on the 21st and my surgery is on the 17th. The best birthday Christmas to myself. No partying until after the first of the year...
  12. GM went to bed very late thinking about this day. Woke up early still thinking about this day. So I decided to get up and start getting things together around the house. Drinking water for now and trying to decide what to have for breakfast on this first day.
  13. I start my fast tomorrow and I have the butternut squash soup, sugar free jello, the broth and protein shakes as well as light juices. I got sugar free apple sauce too. Wasn't really sure if that will work but will have it on day one. Any other suggestions ward off the itch to eat. Oh the gum sounds like a good idea. Thanks. My surgery scheduled for the 17th of this month.
