  3. As fun as this topic is, I was kind of scared of it at first, but seeing as surgery is tomorrow... here I go! I can't wait to... Stop pretending I'm afraid or don't like things bc I don't feel comfortable or won't fit (roller coasters/ dancing/ planes) Not be so winded when walking/ climbing/ hiking Set a good, healthy example for my students Find a man who loves me and not a boy who is okay being with me as long as no one really knows Have a baby (one day Not be embarrassed and feel like everyone is thinking "what is she doing here?" at "regular" clothing stores Be as beautiful as my sis Not sweat so much (hopefully- maybe it's just the genes lol) Buy CHEAP, CUTE clothes Be PROUD of my eating habits LIKE to exercise Travel, take a celebratory trip Not have food as my hobby (what will be my hobby? lol) Feel more comfortable in heels (is that possible?) Cross my legs without holding my foot to pin them together *ugh* Not worry about sliding into a booth, sitting in stadium chairs, etc. Not knocking people out of the way when trying to squeeze through some where Have better control and agility of my body Feel better Be normal NEVER BE IN THIS STATE AGAIN!!!! Good luck to us all
  4. Can't post or respond from iPad. ANyone else? Any plans to fix soon?
  5. Saw that Fred. I got to skip that part, but surgery is tomorrow! Yes, I'm anxious, but not worried like I was the past few weeks. Kinda excited now, but that'll probably change after surgery lol I've lost 14 pounds so far, and I did cheat a little. It was half the holiday temptations and half thinking I'll never eat like this again!
  6. Like seriously love BA lol hope it doesn't change. Snow how are you feeling?? I'm up Saturday!
  7. My surgery is 12/29. For a few weeks I have been miserable doubting myself, surgery, everything. I was so upset I couldn't just do it on my own. I went to a party, had temptations of food and drink and KNEW I couldn't do it on my own. My Daddy just passed this August, so Christmas was unbelievably hard. That made me stop worrying about surgery for a few days and now... I'm at peace, almost excited! I did my pre admin testing yesterday. I'm ready. I know this is right and it's going to change my life. I'm so excited for the new person I'll be next holiday season! I'm still emotional- it's a huge deal- but confused no more. Stick with it, find your peace, you're doing this for all the right reasons in your world- your family.
  8. I told work I had a hernia that had to be fixed and at the same time decided to do rny- hernias a lie lol I just didnt want to be told I was taking time off for an "elective" procedure. I only decided to tell then rny bc I'm hoping I'll be losing so much it'll be hard to hide
  9. I have chocolate and vanilla and I love them! I use almond milk unsweetened or water
  10. You all look fantastic!!! Every other hour I change my mind about going through with it, but what an inspiration those pics are!
  11. Ooh I loveee my BA shakes bc they're so thick. I think it's made the two week preop diet better. Are you telling me that feeling will change after surgery??
  12. Thanks for the advice guys, merry Christmas
  13. I live by myself. Do you guys think I'll need round the clock help for a few days? I'd much rather stay home, but I could plan to stay at my moms if you guys think it's needed
  14. Mine just says no driving while on pain meds
  15. But my brother went to same surgeon- I think he's uhc- and he has a 12 month diet
  16. I hope I'm just second guessing myself... I'm so nervous. I'm in tx, but technically I'm bcbs trs (teacher)
  17. I didn't have to have 6 months. My first inquiry was oct 30th and I'm having surgery 12/29. I kinda wish I had to have it. It feels too fast. I'm really scared, confused and nervous. I just don't know if I've really, really tried to commit to losing weight and in the back of my mind I keep wondering if I really tried if I could lose and keep it off wo surgery. I mean if I could, why haven't I already right? I'm just so scared of being sick afterwards. I teach elementary school and can't feel weak or drained and really need to go back after 2 weeks. And I just started seeing this new guy and I'm scared of not being "normal." I know I should be happy I don't have to wait, but I'm wondering if I should cancel :/
  18. My doc has it on my list for pre and post op
  19. I asked my docs assistant if broth counts to my water or the water in my shakes or jello and she said no, my water needs to be on top of those things, but that doesn't seem right to me. Any thoughts?
