  1. Maybe the surgeon cut a few extra nerves while inside.

Or maybe because you're so gassy its putting pressure on your nerves that run in those areas. It could be just one nerve thats doing all this damage.

I'm not MD but... I'm a darn good Guess-e-ologist in my area ;-)

  4. Remember those Big unattractive TShirts we had on before surgery... Well you can put them to use when you feel like you can no longer fit ANYTHING in your closet.

    Try this...

  5. Can I pick a ton.. not just one!

    1) I can wrap my bath towel once and a half around me and tuck it in. Before... I just tucked it under each boob to keep it up ..LOL. it was like a 5 inch space in the middle showing my belly..

    2) My kids play and wrap their hands around my waist without touching me and extra room left too. I get a kick off of them getting a kick from it. LOL.

    3) Sex... (TMI)...Whoop whoop!!! Before I use to get on top and my honey would complaint sometimes that I was hurting his hips because if my weight. NOW! ..... he's tossing me around like I'm light as a feather. LOL

    4) I love the fact that I no longer have to try on my clothes before buying them. As long as its a Medium and a size 9 .. it'll fit!

    5) YES.... the men are starring even harder, but I just laugh and keep it pushing. Sorry boys..but I gotta man! LOL.... And he was down for.me when was P.H.A.T!

    6) I busted out a bikini at the beach the other day. Yes I did have a see thru cover up that camouflaged my stretch marks, minor loose skin and a little cellulite... RMAO! Yes if I was single I would have been false advertising... But I'm not so I was simply working it! LOL

    7) I love being able to jump up and do this when I don't feel like picking

Something out. My honey has every color you can imagine.

  6. Same thing here... I had so many negative comments and now that I've had no issues and my transformaton doesn't look like I use to be big everybody and their phat momma is asking me a ton of questions.

What makes me super self conscience is when I see someone that hasn't seen me since before surgery and the get ALL LOUD AND EXCITED... saying... "OH My Gosh Tish, you look SO AMAZING! I didn't even recognize you."

I'm super confident and always have been but that sure makes me want to cover myself up and be shy.

because the strands are so long. I was so sick of hair EVERYWHERE I chopped it into a A-Line Bob. I know its not gonna slow the process down but it ain't gonna be as much hair. Plus ponytail and weak hair roots make things even worse.

New body.. new hair.. and a whole new tude to go with it. LOL

    Short Hair... #SummertimeSwag

    Whoop! Whoop!

  8. Don't worry about the recovery cause tubiligations are done as out patient... After my first 24 hours of sleeping my anesthesia meds off I was totally fine. You should do it!

I had mine done at different times but my RNY was a tad bit more painful but actually it was that bad either.

  10. I only got 5 out of this recipe. Did anyone get the whole 10?

I always get 8 out of the batch. Couldn't imagine getting 10. Maybe if you fluffed the egg white longer

  11. So' date=' my surgery date is Sept. 3rd and I feel really bitter sweet about it. I'm having second thoughts about going through this. I'm afraid of vomiting/dumping, loose skin, etc. The good thing is a low bmi, in which the surgeon only wanted me to lose 2 ibs, and Iost 12 so far. The reason I wanted to have the surgery wasn't because of my weight it was to get rid of my diabetes, hbp, gerd, sleep apnea. I've made a last bet with myself that if I lose 20 ibs, by the end of August, I will not go through with it. If I lose the 20 ibs, I will only need to lose roughly 40 ibs more to get to the weight the surgeon estimated me after wls. Has anyone had these kinds if thoughts or made last minute rationales?

Thanks for any and all responses.[/quote']

I was in your same boat and paddling with those same paddles. I started off at 259 and was working with a dietitian to lose the weight while the approval process of my surgery was under go. I told myself I was going to work hard to lose the weight and just keep surgery in my back pocket for my last resort. If I need it when its approved I'll do it but if I can get a good 40 lbs off and I'm feeling better I'll just focus on the next 40 and I'm good.

Well I got that first 40 off and I STILL had high blood pressure, pre diabetic, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, joint, back and shoulder oddest. My Dr told me that I was doing awesome but a good chance these issues wouldn't change until after surgery. Apparently during surgery certain nerves are cut that actually reset a few genes in your body that resets you diabetic issue, resets your metabolism and also your cholesterol and sometimes your asthma which is why so many people leave the hospital in two days not having to ever take need for these issues again.

I was one of them. I went in the hospital taking 7 different meds and left out with only 1... Ambian. Well also my recovery need but only took those for a week.

Before surgery I was even below weight for goal weight frame to be in. I think I was at 34 bmi. My Dr time me to stop dieting 2 weeks before and increase my cals a little. I didn't have to do the pre-op 2 week diet... Only the 48 hour pre surgical cleanse.

Oh and let me tell you I cried my eyes out that week. I was so torn between doing the surgery or just keep trying on my own.

I decided to do it and Im only 4 months post op and already 10 lbs from my goal weight. Now Im ordered to try and pig out a little to slow my weight loss down and spread those last 10-15 lbs out over the next 8 months.

I thought I'd NEVER hear that. LOL

  12. You go Leti! omg you look great!

Nurse J... I'm so excited for you. Have you received your surgery date. Id love to come see you in the hospital and finally be the one coming to your room instead of the other way around ;-)

  13. I was put on a diet from the p. a. Where i can not have more than 1400 calories a day. But I wasn't told I have to lose any amount. I do see where I will have to do a two week pre op diet. That one I will for sure stick to because my friend didnt and she had her liver nicked and had to have a blood transfusion and had to stay in the hospital for an extra two days. That is what I am nervous about. Other than that I am pretty optimistic about the entire procedure. I will let you know the date as soon as I do though.

Because I lost 40 lbs 2 weeks before my bssurgery date and didn't have to do the 2 week pre-op just the pre sugery cleanse like 24-48 hrs before. But 2 weeks before my Dr said to not lose anymore weight and to up .my calories and not to work out. I was weighig 216 and it was slightly under the required weight buy since I had so many medical issues they were willing to proceed. So about a week before I had a funeral which was right on time because my daughters girl scout cookie sales kicked in. LOL

  14. Remember ladies... With the heat at its.highest right not its draining Water from us even if we're inside. I'm sure most of us have noticed harder stools right now since summer start.

I know we all don't want to heat this but the 64 oz we're required to drink is no where.enough during this time. Up.. up... Up.. your Water intake and whatever you do don't workout in the heat.

  15. Thanks for the info about kaiser. I think that is a great idea. I have so many questions. That may be the place for me to go. I have my four hour pre op nutrition class Tuesday at Dameron then I wait to hear from Jennifer about approval and hopefully surgery date.

J never had to do that class... That must be something new. But I did have to work with a dietitian for 6 months and lost 40 lbs doing it.

  17. I cramped too for about 2 weeks. Take your pain killers. Remember that you did just have major surgery and your insides have been rerouted. Remember not to lift anything over 10 lbs for the first 6 weeks. Good chance you can pull something apart.
