  1. Maybe the straw that you have with the iced coffee? I was told straws bring a lot of air bubbles down with the liquid.

  4. You went home the day after surgery?? Wow. Im going in Monday, and scheduled to be released Thursday! Glad it all went good Cathy!!
  5. In my book, once I am out of the hospital it says one cup of coffee daily is fine, no cream or sugar obviously.

  7. I would call your surgeon. How long post op are you? I think a endoscopy should be done.

  10. Its liquid, says to apply to a clean wash cloth and scrub areas. On the bottle it says: exidine chlorhexidine gluconate
  11. LOL.. Yea, they kept telling me no private areas. They told me to mainly focus on the area of surgery. Its a antiseptic soap.
  12. They gave me this weird bottle of soap to use. I am afraid to use it, I have very sensitive skin and I know it's going to make me break out. They want me to use it the night before and the morning of surgery. Ugh. And thanks for the tip MaryMitchell .. That sounds good. They said the time isn't official and they will call the day before to tell me. I HOPE it gets changed!
  13. The only pre op diet I have is full liquids the day prior.
  14. My surgery is Monday at 2pm. No idea how Im going to wait til 2pm without any sip of water or ANYTHING from midnight on.

  16. I was told 48oz is fine by my surgeon.
  17. Surgery in 6 days and I've been told to stay off the NSAIDs. Ibuprofen, asprin ect. Anyone know of anything I can take?? My head is killing me.
  18. I am still pre op and have so much anxiety about feeling like this this after. I hope it gets better for you.
  19. Im on full liquids for 3 weeks after being released from the hospital. Then can see the surgeon so he can decide if im fine for pureed food.
  20. I have lost 23lbs with my 6 month diet with the nut, and my surgeon is only having me do a liquid diet the day prior to surgery, along with the dose of Magnesium Citrate in the afternoon.
  21. Congrats!!! Wow, so soon!! I was scheduled about a month after I was approved. Your 6 days before me!
  22. I know how you feel. I feel very overwhelmed everyday about EVERYTHING. I have 10 more days til surgery.. but what helps me is saying 'It's either live this unhealthy life, same crap / different day.. or CHANGE'
  23. Good luck! Is it weird I don't have a 1 week post op apt? I go 3 week post op, then 3 months, 6 months, then yearly.
