  1. Well my 5 year battle with my band is finally coming to an end tomorrow. I have been trying to get approved to take it out for 3 years. Wow. I am ecstatic. I am hoping to wake up sleeved as well... Bye by band... I am looking forward to no ports no tight chest feeling, no throwing up all the time and a chance to gain my life back with the sleeve as a tool. Goodnight band, for in the morning you will be evicted forever. GOOD RIDDANCE
  2. Sorry I wish your hospital was closer! I feel for you though,I have to leave at 4:15am which means to shower I need to get up no later than 3:30p yikes!
  3. Oh no! I am sure you will be at 9. The can't change it too many times can they?
  4. Omg I have t be there at 5am.... What the heck? My husband is not a morning person... Then again neither am I lol
  5. Thanks!! I check in at 5 am ... 15 hours from now.... It is definitely getting real lol
  6. Woot! Woot! Amazing and congrats
  7. I am sorry. They say it gets better. Hang in there...
  8. Nope I have a band that I am getting removed and being sleeved tomorrow. I have trouble absorbing Vitamins unrelated to WLS. My body is just weird. I had to have an Iron infusion almost two months ago bc my iron got so low. I was commenting on why I chose the sleeve over gastric bypass. I don't want to have my intestines rerouted and have malnutrition problems more than you would have with the sleeve.
  9. Oh that's still not too far!
  10. It is simple for me. I don't want severe mal nutrition. I already have issues absorbing Vitamins.... Also it kinda freaks me out to have intestines rerouted. Lol
  11. Good luck and may you have a speedy recovery!
  12. I hope you are doing well! You are well enough to post though so that is good! Thanks for the prayers and advice. I am at work today and having trouble focusing. Coworkers saying their goodbyes to me for two weeks. I am nervous but I know I will be fine. My surgeon requires no solid for dinner. I just have lunch meat and spinach for lunch then after that all liquids for me. Soon I'll be with you on the other side
  13. That's great! Did your surgery date move up to the 26th?! Yes I love Dr Nick. He has been wonderful
  14. Oh and I was approved for both by BCBS!!!!
  15. Yes! That is the plan anyway... I saw him and he actually said it was no problem to plan on it. So i am hoping to wake up from surgery Tuesday sleeved
  16. Woohoo! Now if I can make it through work today I will be golden... Kind of hard to focus!!
  17. Good luck to all those being sleeved tomorrow!
  18. Great post!!! I can't wait!
  19. Well that's ok, you won't need it for a little while!
  20. I didn't get cherry and I am regretting it. I have seen so many that say they love that one!
  21. You can try finding a dish that s lower carbs and skip the bread. Also go ahead and tell the waiter to bring you a box and put at least half in it. Those are some of the things I would do. But it looks like your surgery is a couple of out so if you don't go overboard it should be ok. Hang n there hon, u will have a lot of food decisions to make between now and your surgery. Just try to make mostly good ones
  22. I got mine on Amazon. Syntrax. I thought it is a good deal esp if you have prime http://www.amazon.com/Syntrax-Nectar-Medical-Unflavored-1-Pound/dp/B001I1NSUY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1372025671&sr=8-1&keywords=Syntax+unflavored
  23. Sorry, never mind about the surgeon part, I had already forgotten you were waiting on approval. I'm a wack job at the moment with surgery Tuesday. I hope you get approved!
  24. Sending the good jue jue your way as requested! I chose the band ....6 years later I choose the sleeve .... Oh and if it freaks you out to see the band now, it probably won't get better if you have it put in. I could tell you my whole story but it is long but I am having that darn foreign object taken out Tuesday and revising to he sleeve. I am relieved. But please do your research and if you don't have a surgeon yet, try to find one that does multiple surgeries. The surgeon can help you decide based on your needs. My first surgeon was band only so he couldn't have recommended another surgery. Best thing I did for myself was find my new surgeon!
