Hang in there hon. I didn't say before but I have waited 3 years due to insurance crap. I made it through and you will too.

Yes I have the weird choking feeling sometimes but I am not sure if that is my hernia or the swelling from the band or both. It basically feels like my throat is swollen shut at the bottom...that us the only way I can describe it.
Here is what I found on symptoms:

Mine was diagnosed yesterday at my EGD. The doctor that did my EGD said that it should resolve on its own after they remove my band...

So I am feeling really depressed and upset! One step forward 12 steps back seems like! I had my scope done on June 3rd and afterwards they told me I have over 50 ulcers so they told for for 30 days I have to take meds to clear them up so they told me that I will have another scope done June 24 and surgery on July 1st! I went back to the center today for an appointment and they advised me my Iron is to low to do the surgery so now it's postponed! I have to take Iron pills for 3 months and then go get more blood work gone on sept 6th! So now I'm just hurt and upset and devastated!!! Something I wanted so badly for year it was within reach and now keeps getting pushed back :/
First I would like to say that I am sorry to hear of your delays. Second I stress that I am not a doctor but there was an option that worked for me that may cut your wait time down. I had an iron infusion one month ago. (It is not for everyone it is not the same as a blood transfusion) It will also depend on how low your iron really is. Maybe you could talk to your Pcp about seeing a hematologist. Do you know your hemoglobin # ? Mine was fluctuating between a 7.5 and 8 and the monthlies certainly don't help the iron levels. Just more info for you to chew on.

Sure. Click on quote underneath the persons post that you want to show n yours. Good luck. I don't personally deal with these issues but my Mom has all of her life and therefore I have seen the cycle you speak of. Going off the med's usually leads down a dark road for someone with depression. Please try another psychiatrist and soon.

Hi! I liked this article: http://www.webmd.com/diet/weight-loss-surgery/12-questions-to-ask-your-doctor-about-weight-loss-surgery
This is your opportunity to interview your surgeon. The best advice I can give is to make sure you love your surgeon. They will have their life in your hands. Good luck

Because when I tried less than 1200 calories and going to the gym I was constantly hungry. I did lose 8lbs in a week when i was at 1000 calories per day but i didnt like being hungry since i eat when im hungry...So I figured this would be my tool to not be hungry with less and when I get to the maintenance stage I will be back at my 1200 (1400 when I went out) maintaining lifestyle and all will be well.
Janice05/23 I am sorry to hear you we're lectured. One of my very first posts on here, someone jumped to a conclusion when they knew nothing about me and felt the need to lecture me.... It s not fun. I did think some of your symptoms though sounded very similar to mine and I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 22 after being a very active teenager and aging horrible amts of weight very very quickly. And when I eat very little and exercise my tail off I can lose weight.....but I am hungry anyway....good luck on your journey and I will be on the sleeved side soon!
just got my surgery date! July 8th.
