  1. My surgery was 10/9. Everything has healed up wonderfully. I still have pain on my left side but my doctor said that would be normal. I just can't seem to get enough Water and Proteins in. Physically I'm good after surgery but mentally I wish I'd never had this done. I cry several times a day and feel very alone even though I have a wonderful husband supporting me. food was my go to when I was sad and stressed. Now I just don't know what to do. It's like I have no motivation and all I want to do us stay in the house and never come back out. What do I do??

I try to replace food with exercise when I get head hungry I start walking.

  3. So how long arw u guys waiting before u have a glass of wine with thanksgiving coming up at all and for the im not drinking at all people good im

Not asking you and congrats on your decision

Well idk if u mean are we gonna drink because it's the holiday seasons my answer would be no to that, now my Dr office says wait 18 months after surgery, but I probably wont wait that long. To who ever drinks take a sip for me. Lol and how has life been since surgery for you? I hope all is well.

  4. I was scared to buy this because it wasn't sugar free. You haven't had problems with it? I bought the Tylenol Jr Meltaways(Walmart Brand) grape flavored' date=' but I have to take 6 of them to get close to a 1000 mg. where did you find it because I thought they stopped making it. I can only find it at CVS(brand).[/quote']

My surgeon's office told us to stay away from anything that was rapid release.

  5. Have you tried any of the whey Proteins or if you don't like them there is a egg Protein powder you can get. I have never tryed it I stick with

carnation instant Breakfast no sugar added its 150 calories with 8 oz of skim milk has 8 carbs and 26 g of Protein. I like the taste that's just my opinion.

A lot of people on this Fourm use unjury protein powder unflavored. I have never tryed it

    Good luck

  6. Sorry to hear so many of yall are sick I went thru that too and first off I found out I had a infection on my tongue due to the meds when I was in the hospital something like a yeast infection, but another thing that helped me was green tea with ginger root I used fresh ginger root with splenda it is wonderful u have to slice the ginger root. I made my tea in a small pot put enough ginger to cover the bottom of the pot add Water and ur tea bags. If any1 tries it I hope it helps.

  7. Yes this happens to me . Are you getting enough Protein in how about Water and just plane food are you getting enough.

I was like this for about 3-4 weeks and every now and then I still run out of energy

    Surgery Anniversary 7/30/12

Rite now im on a full liquid diet and this Protein powder I got from the Vitamin shoppe is supose to be unflavored but it changes the taste of everything anf its a soy prtein which I never had before, its jus pain aweful but I do get my Protein and things in.

  8. I thought I was the only one nmy weight loss is moving very slowly and a friend says ur dr is expecting u to have lost at least 50lbs since ur surgery, by my one month visit. Thats nuts to me I mean I lost 40lbs so far since I started the liquid diet and surgery. My friend keeps comparing her surgery from over four yrs ago with mine, drives me crazy our situations could not be more different. Ive lost 22lbs since my surgery two weeks ago.

  9. Yeah they all are different' date=' cause even when I went for my two week check up yesterday, she reminded me to continue taking everything else, just not the Calcium until 6 wks. Now if wish I would of asked why only not that Vitamin. Anyway we all have to do what were told, cause they know whats best for us.

SD: 10/10/12, Converted from Lapband to RNY, HW (before band) 263, HW (RNY) 230, Preop 219, after surgery 223, current 210[/quote']

Ur rite about that, they do kno what's best and each doc has their own program they go by. Best of luck to every1, how have u been since ur surgery and can I ask why u decided to convert. I was thinking about the Band but heard bad things plus my doc said RNY was better with better results.

  10. Anne I was told to wait 6wks before I could take Calcium.< /p>

SD: 10/10/12' date=' Converted from Lapband to RNY, HW (before band) 263, HW (RNY) 230, Preop 219, after surgery 223, current 210[/quote']

I think all surgeons are different cuz my Dr had me start my Vitamins at my first week post op visit he had me start the calcium, multi vit, vitD, & B12 but I told him I was gonna start the Biotin also cuz I jus grew my hair out & im not tryna loose it.
