The surgery is on the 30th? You most likely will be in hospital until the 1st or 2nd if no complications. I am telling you now you will not be able to do that being just 5 days out. It is also dangerous for blood clots in your legs after having surgery that soon.

Oh but I did embarrass my son today at the grocery store LOL I had hit the jackpot on Campbell soup coupons and I have enough too last months and months LOL. But who.can blame me? They had it on sale and it was double coupon!!

I am glad to see everyone is doing ok that has had surgery so far. And I wish all those having surgery next week good luck too. It is completely normal to be depressed. As we lose weight the hormones that is stored in the fat in our bodies are released as we lose the weight. Also a lot of people had depression or problems prior to surgery and used food as comfort. You really need to speak to your pcp about this as they can help before it gets worst

Ok so I am really happpy!! Before I was buying the generic form of Truvia from Kroger's. So today I sucked it up and spent more and got Truvia and I cannot tell the difference at all from real sugar. YAYYYYY!!!

I am the 29th too. I go I'm the 23rd for pre op education class with nurse practitioner and from there to the hospital to register and so forth. I guess Wednesday the 24th will start a liquid diet.

You can drink decaf. I cannot tell the difference in taste. I just can't get use to artificial sweeteners instead of real sugar in it

I can't tell the difference in taste. I used Folgers classic blend and just switched to decaf classic blend.

Caffeine is a appetite stimulate as well as a diuretic. With our surgery it is highly important for us to stay hydrated. That is what my surgeon says he mentioned nothing about ulcers but I know smoking can cause ulcers so that is a big no no.
